China has vigorously promoted green development, with carbon dioxide emission intensity falling by more than 51% in 2022 compared with 2005, and the production and sales of new energy vehicles ranking first in the world, with more than 18 million vehicles, accounting for more than half of the world's total. China has deepened the energy revolution, and the proportion of non-fossil energy installed capacity has increased to 509%, completely stop the construction of new overseas coal-fired power plants, ** 50% of the world's wind power and 80% of photovoltaic equipment. China has actively promoted international cooperation on climate change, and has allocated more than 1.2 billion yuan of special funds for South-South cooperation on climate change to support developing countries in enhancing their capacity to cope with climate change. UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that the UN spoke positively of China's efforts and important contributions to carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and was willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China to jointly address the challenge of climate change.

COP28 President Sultan Jaber said the conference will address climate finance so that the Global South does not have to choose between development and climate action.
