In recent years, Haier Village, Longqing Township, Shizong County, in accordance with the general idea of "adapting measures to local conditions, selecting good varieties, cultivating improved varieties, and strengthening intercropping", has actively explored new ways to promote agricultural income, encouraged the masses to vigorously develop pea planting, and helped farmers increase their income.

Scientific planting to ensure quality

With an average altitude of 1,100 meters, Hale is located in a river valley with abundant rain and sunshine. The village takes advantage of its unique climate and land resources to actively develop pea planting. Under the leadership of the general party branch of the village, the village adopts the model of "party branch + cooperative + base + farmer", continues to adjust the structure of agricultural industry, introduces enterprises to build bases, and develops pea planting. Put the pea growth branch on the shelf, pull the line, implement fine management, and produce pea grains that are full, emerald green in color and sweet in taste.

Centralized acquisition to ensure revenue increase

After sowing, hanging line, fertilization, and forking, peas mature in about 100 days, and are harvested from the beginning of December each year to the end of January and early February of the following year. After picking peas, there is no need to sell them on the street, and the enterprises will purchase them in a centralized manner, so that farmers do not have to worry about sales. Haier Village grows 300 acres of peas, with a yield of about 800 kilograms per mu, and each kilogram is between 8 yuan and 10 yuan, bringing a considerable income to growers.

Develop industries to promote employment

The Party Committee of Longqing Township and the first agricultural enterprises were introduced to settle in Haier Village to develop pea planting industry and form a relatively complete industrial system. Enterprises recruit nearby villagers to promote the employment and income of rural laborers at their doorsteps, so that villagers can "farm, take care of their families, and earn money".

At present, it is the season when peas are ripe and on the market, and the 300 acres of peas in Hale Village are ushering in a bumper harvest, and the fields are full of vitality. Peas have become "happy beans" and "gold ingots" for farmers to increase their income.
