Strengthen fire prevention and extinguishing business training to build a solid foundation for joint prevention and control
In order to effectively improve the professional knowledge and business skills of the semi-professional firefighting team in the station, and improve the firefighting ability and safety awareness of the firefighting team, recently, the Quanzhou Brigade of the Sanming Detachment of the Fujian Provincial Forest Fire Brigade carried out forest fire prevention and extinguishing professional skills training for 30 firefighters in Fengze District, Quanzhou.
Fire control is the key to fire fighting, and forest fires can only be eliminated by quickly extinguishing or effectively controlling fires. The brigade selected fire rescue personnel with rich practical experience and professional skills as instructors, and adopted the method of theoretical teaching, explanation and demonstration, exchange and discussion, focusing on the common sense of forest fire prevention and extinguishing, fire fighting safety and other aspects of theoretical teaching, and described in depth and detail how to fight fires scientifically according to the fire, vegetation, terrain and weather conditions in the process of forest fire fighting, and combined with their own actual experience in fire fighting, focusing on the main tactical tactics in forest fire fighting. The systematic and comprehensive explanation deepened the understanding of the firefighters on the principles of forest fire fighting, equipment operation and application, fire avoidance and other theoretical knowledge, and further consolidated the basic theory of forest fire prevention and extinguishing of local firefighting teams.
The wind-powered fire extinguisher is powered by a small engine, and uses the high-speed airflow generated by it to impact the flame, so that the ambient temperature around the burning combustibles drops sharply below the ignition point, and blows the flame away from the combustibles to achieve the purpose of blocking combustion. The instructor adopts a combination of theory and practice to explain and demonstrate the operation and use of fire-fighting equipment such as wind-powered fire extinguishers, water pumps, water guns, and chain sawsFor low-intensity surface fires below 5 meters, in the fire fighting, the fire line can be extinguished by cutting, pressing, topping, picking, sweeping, scattering and other methods. Then, the instructor taught the basic knowledge of general troubleshooting and daily maintenance of these fire extinguishing equipment, which improved the awareness of the fire fighting team members of the equipment.
After a few days of training courses, the brigade organized the completion assessment in a timely manner, and assigned the wind fire extinguisher, water gun, No. 2 tool and other equipment by setting up a simulated fire field in the field.
In the past fire fighting process, even if we have some equipment, we have no way to start, the division of labor in the group is not clear, the personnel are scattered, or there may be some command errors or non-standard situations in the process of firefighting, but through this systematic learning, we have not only mastered the standardized use of various fire-fighting equipment, but also learned some technical methods on the fire field, so that our personnel have a new understanding of fire fighting. When the firefighters communicated with the instructors, they said that a series of trainings were rich in content and practical, so that the firefighters received all-round professional edification and achieved the expected results of the training.
In the next step, the brigade will increase the development and training of forest and grassland fire prevention and extinguishing training instructors for social forces, extensively carry out forest fire prevention and fire fighting business training, and work with the resident fire fighting team to build a new situation of forest and grassland fire prevention and fire prevention and joint prevention and control, and jointly build a solid forest ecological security barrier in the management and protection area.
