In terms of fishermen's protection, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has implemented the "Warm Heart Action" to help retired fishermen and the "100 provinces, 100 counties and 1000 households" follow-up survey of retired fishermen, and included retired fishermen with difficulties in life in the monitoring scope of preventing them from returning to poverty. At present, 150,000 retired fishermen along the Yangtze River who have the ability and willingness to change employment should be helped, and 220,000 retired fishermen who meet the conditions for insurance should be fully insured, and there are 490,000 people receive pensions.
At the same time, law enforcement and supervision have been strengthened, and the order of the ban on fishing in the Yangtze River has been generally stable. Up to now, there are 2,376 fishery administration vessels and 1,991 law enforcement vehicles in the key waters of the Yangtze River basin, which is three times that before the ban on fishing**15,340 sets of monitoring front-end probes, nearly 10 times that before the ban on fishing;There are more than 10,400 licensed law enforcement officers, twice as many as before the ban on arrestsFishermen more than 260,000, 12 times more than before the ban. The law enforcement system, which combines civil air defense technology and defense, and attaches equal importance to special management and group management, has been further improved.
In terms of water ecology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has implemented the protection of rare and endangered species represented by flagship species such as the Chinese sturgeon, the Yangtze sturgeon and the Yangtze finless porpoise, and systematically carried out experiments on the rewilding and natural reproduction of rare species to replenish wild population resources. More than 800,000 Chinese sturgeons and 780,000 Yangtze sturgeons were released into the Yangtze River, and the breeding experiment of the Yangtze sturgeon in natural waters was successful for the first time. At the same time, the Chinese sturgeon, Yangtze sturgeon, Yangtze finless porpoise and indigenous fish conservation centers have been built to enhance the conservation capacity of key species.
