This year's CES exhibition officially opened, and the editors of PCConline have arrived at the exhibition for the first time to bring first-hand reports to everyone. The previously teased ROG Phone 8 was also announced at CES, and we got our hands on it at the ROG booth.
As you can see from the real machine, the back design of the ROG gaming phone 8 series is more concise, without the angular lines of previous gaming phones, and the overall appearance is much more rounded. In particular, the camera module has been changed from the signature horizontal strip of ROG gaming smartphones to a stepped pentagonal shape, with the "ROG" logo in the lower right corner, like a gripper when lying horizontally.
What we saw at the booth was the ROG Gaming Phone 8 Pro, with a matte design on the back and a beveled glossy ridge line in the middle, which made the whole plane three-dimensional.
Of course, ROG has to have light. The back of the ROG gaming phone 8 Pro still has a matrix LED display similar to the previous Magic 14 and Magic 16 notebooks, and from our on-site experience, this back screen can display the power, time, and the Eye of Faith of the ROG logo, and it seems that it can also allow users to set different patterns (**The gameplay is quite diverse. And if you don't light up the screen, you basically can't see the existence of a screen, and the process is quite fine.
The middle frame of the ROG Phone 8 Pro has been changed to a flat right angle, continuing the design of the USB-C port on the sideThe four edges of the back cover have been curved, and the curved arc on the left and right sides seems to be larger than the upper and lower edges, which will be visually thinner, and the feel is much better than that of other e-sports gaming phones.
ROG Phone 8 Pro still supports a dedicated cooling clip that boosts extreme performance and stability during long gaming sessions.
Editor's comment: The design of the ROG Gaming Phone 8 series has changed a lot, removing many elements and making it cleaner and thinner. At the same time, this gaming phone is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, which is worth looking forward to in terms of performance.
