Feng Yuan

Mr. Feng Yuan is a famous painter, cultural scholar, art educator in China, and a professor at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. Although he is over the age of old, he still works hard in the cause of cultural education and communication, and has played a leading and leading role in the teaching and creation of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and even contemporary Chinese painting.

This exhibition exhibits more than 130 works created and sketched by Mr. Feng Yuan and his seven students, Wang Ke, Wang Fumin, Wang Wei, Yang Xiaogang, Zhang Peisheng, Zhao Chen, and Liu Xiangpeng. The seven students of Mr. Feng Yuan embody the two most common teaching modes in the teaching of the college: the first is full-time doctoral students, who are trained in an all-round way by the standardized college system, and the other is the students recruited from the society in the form of advanced education, which can show us some teaching aspects and arouse meaningful thinking.

Mr. Feng Yuan graduated from the China Academy of Art, and his teaching has always been based on the academy system, requiring students to focus on the relationship between people and history, people and society, and people and art, and temper their skills and minds between historical observation and realistic care. At the same time, he inspires and guides each student to create their own personalized pen and ink language from some of their own strengths and characteristics.
