For the sake of goodness and urgency to be known, not for goodness

Autumn and Winter Check-in Challenge

The flower of good deeds does not bloom for the sake of blooming.

There are thousands of paths in the world, but in summary, there are only two ways: to be good and not to be good. Those who do good certainly have their glory, but those who do not do good may be understandable.

Being anxious to be known for goodness is the trend of today's world. People are happy to do good, but more so to be recognized and praised by others. For example, donating a sum of money to a disaster area or sponsoring a needy student. Such acts of kindness are undoubtedly commendable. However, if this is more to satisfy one's own vanity, then such "goodness" has lost its original meaning. True kindness should be done without asking for anything in return, or even for others to know about it. It is a kind of inner peace, a spiritual sublimation.

In contrast, those who are not good may seem a little indifferent and unkind in the eyes of ordinary people. However, that doesn't mean they don't have their own philosophies. Lao Tzu once said: "Everyone in the world knows that what is good is good, and what is not good is good." "Not doing good is not indifference, but thinking more deeply about and understanding the true meaning of life. They may be able to better understand the ups and downs and changes of life, and know how to respect life and nature better.

What the good people are looking for is inner satisfaction and peace, and what they are not looking for is a deep understanding and perception of life. Although the two seem to be opposites, they are actually unified. Because, whether it is good or not, everyone is finding the meaning and value of life in their own way.

Zhang San is a farmer who works hard every day for the livelihood of his family. He did not donate to the disaster area, nor did he sponsor poor students. Working in the fields, although tired, he always maintained an optimistic and contented attitude. Although his life is ordinary, it is full of reverence and gratitude for life.

Li Si is an artist, he pursues freedom and independence in art, and is not confined to secular vision and evaluation. He expresses his understanding and perception of life in his own way. His works are full of reflections on life and expectations for the future.

Ordinary people like this, although they do not have any good deeds that are famous in society, they all express their love and pursuit of life in their own way. Their story teaches us that doing good and not doing good are not absolute. We should respect everyone's choices and lifestyle, because everyone has their own path and pursuit.

No matter what lifestyle we choose, we should stick to our beliefs and pursuits. Those who do not do good do not have to envy the aura of those who do good, and those who do good do not have to laugh at the indifference of those who do not do good. Because, everyone has their own philosophical thinking and lifestyle. Only when we truly understand and respect this can we better live in this pluralistic world.
