About the winery
Located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy, Bastianich is a small boutique winery founded in 1997 by the Bastianich family. The estate is committed to producing high-quality wines with a distinctive regional character, which reflects the essence of the terroir while showing exceptional balance and power.

Superior terroir
The vineyards cover an area of 27 hectares and are spread over two different areas in the eastern hills. One is located in the southernmost part of the eastern hills, in the Premariacco hills, where the warm sea breeze gives the wine a fuller body and a stronger structureThe second is located 16 kilometres north of Cividale, where the wines from the Vini Orone range are aromatic and fresh, thanks to the cool mountain winds.

The vineyard is dominated by indigenous grape varieties such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Schioppettino. The soil is made up of calcareous clay and stones, making it one of the best terroirs in the world for white wine. This soil not only gives the wine excellent body, structure and ageing potential, but also gives the wine its signature minerality and savoury flavours.
