At present, China is facing a serious challenge of foreign technology suppression. Especially in terms of operating systems, the dependence on foreign-developed systems will have a serious impact on the country's development if it is "cut off". In order to meet this challenge, the HarmonyOS system should be born from time to time. After just a few years of development, the HarmonyOS system has become the world's third largest mobile phone operating system, and is expected to expand its application scope in the future and become the world's second largest computer operating system. As a purely domestic operating system, the HarmonyOS system has attracted much attention from the state, not only establishing the OpenHarmony open source project, but also calling on "national team" enterprises from all walks of life to access the HarmonyOS system to jointly build a complete Internet ecosystem based on the HarmonyOS system.

In order to promote the development of the HarmonyOS system, universities have played a vital role. Recently, HarmonyOS has united 17 well-known universities in China to establish the "Open Source HarmonyOS Technology Club". These universities include Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, etc. They are all strong schools in computer-related disciplines, and after joining the technology club, they will provide strong support for improving the Internet ecology and talent training system of the HarmonyOS system.

At the same time, in addition to these 17 universities, a large number of other universities are also involved in the development and promotion of the HarmonyOS system. At present, 21 985 universities in China have participated in the HarmonyOS industry-academia cooperation project and opened HarmonyOS courses, involving HarmonyOS mobile programming technology, HarmonyOS-based intelligent product design and implementation, HarmonyOS-based software and hardware collaborative engineering practice, and HarmonyOS-based artificial intelligence programming practice. These universities include Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University and other well-known universities.

With the purpose of "carrying out innovative work and achieving first-class talents", the open source HarmonyOS Technology Club aims to promote technological innovation and talent training through close cooperation between universities and the HarmonyOS system. This is crucial for China's self-developed operating system. As an important position for cultivating scientific and technological talents, colleges and universities will cultivate a large number of outstanding talents for the research and development and application of the HarmonyOS system. Through the Xi and practice of the HarmonyOS system, students will master the latest technology and contribute to China's independent innovation in science and technology.

Although the "Open Source HarmonyOS Technology Club" has been established, it does not include Tsinghua University, Peking University and other famous universities with a pivotal position in the domestic computer field. However, this is only the beginning of the club's existence, and more universities are likely to join it in the future. In addition, in addition to the technology club, there are other HarmonyOS system R&D and promotion projects in China, and major universities are also actively involved in them.

Through the participation of colleges and universities, it is believed that in the near future, China will establish a sound HarmonyOS system ecology and talent training system, reduce dependence on foreign operating systems, and realize the independent development of operating systems. The rise of the HarmonyOS system will inject new vitality into China's scientific and technological innovation and accelerate the promotion of China's position in the global scientific and technological competition.

Through close cooperation with universities, HarmonyOS has taken an important step forward in technology research and development and talent training. While there are still some important universities that have not yet joined the tech club, more are expected to join over time. At the same time, the HarmonyOS system also involves more R&D and promotion projects, attracting a large number of 985 colleges and universities to participate. The participation of universities will accelerate the development of the HarmonyOS system, help China better realize the autonomy of the operating system in the context of technological suppression, and enhance the country's position in the global scientific and technological competition. All this is inseparable from the important role of colleges and universities as an important position for scientific and technological innovation and talent training. In the future, it is believed that the HarmonyOS system will continue to usher in more support and development, injecting new impetus into China's scientific and technological innovation.
