My self-examination career has been more than ten years since it began. The first subject I passed was 03708, Outline of Modern Chinese History, which I took in 2009. It's December 2023, and I'm currently in the state of passing the preliminary examination for undergraduate graduation in the self-study exam.
The first time I came into contact with self-examination, it belonged to following the trend. At that time, I was studying in a junior college in a foreign country, and I heard from my classmates that I could take the undergraduate examination by myself, and I only needed to buy books and materials, then pay the examination fee and take the exam according to the arrangement of the self-examination office. Compared with the special transfer book, the special transfer book does not need to spend a lot of money at one time, and there is no need to pay expensive tuition fees every year because of being admitted to the civil school. It was a good choice for me at the time. However, until I graduated, I only passed one course. I later reflected on the reasons for this result.
First, I don't like this major, I chose this major mainly because of the great reputation of Nanjing University. The major I chose was already the best choice for this school in my opinion. Also, I have the impression that one of my roommates chose the same major as me. My idea at the time was to learn and figure out together. But when I bought a book and Xi, I found that I was not interested in this major. Many of the subjects involved in this major belong to the science category, and I am not good at it. Actually, I could have chosen my junior college major, International Economics & **, or a similar major. Because of the theoretical knowledge of the junior college, it should be much easier to Xi the corresponding undergraduate major. My thought at the time was that it would be more cost-effective to study Xi other majors. Because I will have two diplomas in different majors, it will be easier to find employment in the future. Now that I think about it, if I had chosen to take the undergraduate major in International Economics and ** at that time, maybe I would have completed the undergraduate examination during college or in a year or two after graduating from university, so it would have been the best choice. However, there are no ifs and ifs for everything.
Second, I didn't put much effort into the Xi of these courses. There is a saying that when you fall, you get up. After I took the business management consulting exam once, I didn't take it again, but chose to take Marx and modern history, two public and liberal arts subjects. These two subjects involve a lot of knowledge in high school, and I studied politics and history in high school. So, I didn't put a lot of thought into these two subjects. I almost relied on my high school knowledge to pass both. In fact, self-study exams still need to be studied hard Xi, and I don't recommend that you cramm or take the exam naked. As I write this, something suddenly comes to mind. There was a male student in my class who passed the self-examination for his undergraduate degree in college, and I admired his perseverance at that time. Later, we didn't have any communication, and I don't know if the self-examination undergraduate degree played the role he expected in the employment of a fresh college graduate at that time. Thinking about it now, his self-admitted undergraduate major at that time seemed to be the corresponding international economics and ** major.
