December 30, 2023Guangdong Aerospace Science and Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Guangtian Institute") set up a professional incubator for Aerospace Innovation Valley in Mingzhu Science Park of Nansha Science City on December 28, and cooperated with Yuexiu Industry and Investment to apply for Nansha Science and Technology Innovation Mother and set up Angel Phase I 2100 million yuan. With financial empowerment, policy support, and industrial growth, the development of Nansha's aerospace industry has entered the fast lane.

Financial Empowerment:

Guangtian Institute set up a professional incubator for Aerospace Innovation Valley, 2100 million yuan angel** was established

It is understood that the operating area of the first and second phases of the Aerospace Innovation Valley incubator is 1,000 and 3,000 respectively, which is operated and managed by Guangdong Aerospace Science and Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangtian Institute, and invites 8 experts with senior industry and industry experience as entrepreneurial mentors, and 5 projects are settled in the first phase.

Taking the incubator as the starting point and empowering the angels, Guangtian Institute will incubate and cultivate a number of technology-based enterprises in the fields of drones, industrial software, high-end equipment, and low-altitude economy, and build an aerospace industry cluster in Nansha with Zhongke Aerospace as the leader. Wang Xi, President of Guangtian Academy, said that in 2024, Guangtian Institute will further cooperate with Lenovo College of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Science and Technology Innovation Investment Industry Alliance of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to organize a series of roadshow training to help the entrepreneurial team grow rapidly.

At present, Guangzhou City and Nansha District respectively provide the full life cycle financing guarantee of "Nansha Commercial Aerospace Angel Venture Capital**-Aerospace Co-Navigation**-Guangzhou Industrial Investment Commercial Aerospace Special**" for the early angel round, growth stage and maturity stage of commercial aerospace projects, so as to ensure that enterprises thrive in Nansha District.

Policy support:

The introduction of the "Nine Ways to Explore the Sky" supports the development of aerospace enterprises

In order to promote the rapid development of Nansha's aerospace industry and lay out the commercial aerospace industry chain, in December this year, the "Support Measures for Promoting the High-quality Development of the Commercial Aerospace Industry in Guangzhou Nansha New Area (Free Trade Zone)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Nine Articles") was officially released. The "Nine Policies for Sky Exploration" put forward support measures from nine aspects, including spacecraft launch incentives, commercialization support, insurance discount support, frequency resource application support, industrial linkage support, space element guarantee, R&D and innovation support, diversified financing support, and professional capacity support. For example, investment institutions that introduce commercial aerospace enterprises will be rewarded with a maximum of 10 million yuan, and a subsidy of up to 100 million yuan will be given at 20% of the R&D expenses of commercial aerospace enterprises. From the initial financing of enterprises to the development of spacecraft, from pre-launch preparation to smooth orbiting, the "Sky Exploration Nine" covers the whole life cycle of commercial aerospace enterprises, and the support is very attractive.

Industry growth:

The formation of the entire commercial aerospace industry chain in Nansha has been accelerated

In recent years, Nansha has actively laid out around the aerospace industry chain, introduced Guangtian Institute, and settled in the two main chain enterprises of Zhongke Aerospace and Geely Aerospace, basically forming an industrial development pattern of "one arrow, one satellite, one hospital, one **".

It is jointly established with the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which mainly carries out research and development of aerospace science and technology and related materials, structures, control and other fields, equipment construction, and industrialization of aerospace vehicles.

On June 7, 2023, the Lijian-1 Yao-2 carrier rocket developed by the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the participation of Zhongke Aerospace Corporation was successfully launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. On December 11, 2023, Zhongke Aerospace successfully held the departure ceremony of the Lijian-1 Yao-3 carrier rocket at the Zhongke Aerospace Flight Science and Technology Industrialization Base, and plans to carry out the launch mission in January 2024.
