Nearly 30 representatives of sinologists and translators from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan and other North African countries jointly focused on the new trends, new paradigms and new achievements of China-Africa cultural exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations around the core topics of "the history and current situation of the development of Sinology in North Africa", "the translation and dissemination of Chinese literature in North Africa", and "the education and cultivation of Chinese as a foreign language in North Africa".

Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress and President of the China Association for International Exchange, attended and delivered a speech. Ji Bingxuan said that the history of China-Africa civilization exchanges shows that only through exchanges and mutual learning can civilizations maintain their vigorous vitality and different civilizations collide with each other, tolerate each other and make progress together. He hoped that all sinologists would take active action to eliminate misunderstandings, misinterpretations and misjudgments caused by cultural differences between countries and peoples, and strive to interpret Chinese civilization and share Chinese wisdom for the world, so as to promote the development and progress of world civilization.
Kassou Osmal, Vice-Rector of Mohammed V University, said that Morocco and China have long maintained strong and deep friendly relations. As the highest university in Morocco, Mohammed V University is committed to Chinese language teaching and promotion, and has cultivated a large number of talents who are proficient in Chinese and love Chinese culture. In the future, the university will continue to deepen the teaching of Chinese, promote the development of regional sinology, and cultivate more new forces and "successors" to promote the development of bilateral relations and cooperation between Morocco and China.
Moroccan sinologist Hammes Khalid has developed the idea of "moderation" in both Chinese and Moroccan cultures. He pointed out that the golden mean is one of the essences of ancient Chinese Confucianism and an important value of traditional Chinese culture. It is not only applicable to Chinese society, but also has important implications and reference significance for other countries and regions.
The conference was co-sponsored by the China Association for International Exchange and Beijing Language and Culture University, and organized by the World Center for Sinology and the Chinese Cultural Center in Rabat. Scholars at the conference believed that the conference had injected new vitality into the study of Sinology in North Africa.
