In addition to unveiling the Urban SUV concept SUV, Toyota also brought the Sport Crossover Concept, which was unveiled at this year's Shanghai Auto Show, to Europe, and announced that it will launch a new all-electric crossover coupe in 2025, expanding Toyota's electric vehicle lineup in Europe.
Toyota unveiled two concept cars, the Sport Crossover and the Urban SUV, at the Kenshiki Insight Forum, to preview its plans for electrified vehicles.
At this year's Shanghai Motor Show, Toyota unveiled the BZ Sport Crossover Concept in collaboration with BYD, an electric vehicle developed specifically for the Chinese and European markets, and now debuts in Europe under the name Sport Crossover Concept.
The Sport Crossover Concept features a crossover design of a five-door hatchback.
The Sport Crossover Concept is a crossover coupe with a five-door cross-hatchback design, with a new-generation front styling that is on par with the Prius and Crown Sport, with the same recognisable C-shaped LED headlights as the focal point, and the sleek texture lines and slightly increased ground clearance further highlight the crossover momentum.
The front of the car, which looks like the Crown Sport, is quite handsome, and the C-shaped LED headlights are still the focal point.
The Sport Crossover Concept also emphasizes that the Sport Crossover Concept has a wide rear luggage compartment and generous rear legroom, which is as comfortable as a traditional SUV, and the sleek exterior styling will also be more attractive to consumers than an SUV.
The Sport Crossover Concept is emphasized to have the same comfort and space performance as traditional SUVs.
No information has been disclosed about the all-electric powertrain, but Toyota has previously said that it is working on a next-generation battery that will provide a higher range, and the Sport Crossover Concept, which is expected to debut in 2025, is expected to be the first next-generation electric vehicle with a new battery.
