Gou Jian once again attacked Wu, won a great victory in Kasawa, and finally destroyed the Wu State.
Fan Li saw through Gou Jian's character and chose to retire as soon as possible, but Wen Chong fantasized about sharing wealth with Gou Jian, and finally perished. After stabilizing the rear, Gou Jian went north to join forces with Jin Qi, paid tribute to the Zhou royal family, and returned the land occupied by Wu. Goujian, the king of Yue, reached the peak of his prestige and became the last monarch to implement hegemony in the Spring and Autumn Period.
However, after Gou Jian's death, the struggle for the throne led to political instability, social turmoil, and declining national strength. In the end, it was destroyed by King Chu Wei and became a number of small countries. After the first emperor ruled the world, he established Huiji County here.
