Suzhou, People's Daily Online, December 10 (Reporter Yang Lei) From December 8 to 10, during the China Sports Culture Expo China Sports Tourism Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "two expos"), a series of exchange activities for athlete security work in 2023 were unveiled simultaneously. Exchange activities are carried out in various forms such as exhibitions, promotion meetings, roadshows, seminars, etc.
At the promotion meeting of athlete entrepreneurship sports culture and sports tourism projects, more than 10 retired athletes shared their entrepreneurial stories on the spot, covering football, paddle boarding, fighting, shooting, fencing, billiards, hockey, roller hockey, triathlon and other sports, and the results involve curriculum development, professional training, event operation, event organization, cultural promotion, children's sports education and other aspects.
On the afternoon of December 8, a seminar on high-quality employment exchange for athletes' transformation was held. At the meeting, experts, scholars and athletes took "the influencing factors, service guarantee and path expansion of high-quality employment" as the topic, the factors affecting the high-quality employment of athletes, the service guarantee support required to change the influencing factors, and the methods to further expand the employment channels and paths of athletes.
In addition, the event also introduced the three basic projects carried out by the Sports Management Center this year to help athletes achieve high-quality employment, namely the athlete career development cloud classroom, the sports talent exchange platform, and the coach training course system of the retired athlete transformation school. It is a platform for communication and mutual assistance, providing a systematic and comprehensive career development education platform to help athletes improve their comprehensive quality and vocational skills and achieve high-quality employment.
On December 9, the National Athlete Security Training Conference was held at the Suzhou International Expo Center, and personnel related work units of sports bureaus from 38 provinces and municipalities across the country participated in the training.
