Although the Guquan Library, two rare documents on currency in the Qing Dynasty, is small, it contains valuable information that is crucial to numismatic research.

"A Brief Introduction to Coinage" is a century-old "martial arts cheats", and its significance is not inferior to the "Coinage" chapter in Song Yingxing's "Heavenly Creation".

This book was written by the rule-makers of the Baohe Bureau during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, and describes in detail the coinage process from the selection of molding sand to the cleaning of burrs and polishing the smoothness.

It covers the traditional sand casting process, the manufacturing process of copper and copper coins, and the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of copper materials in various countries, which is an advanced treasure book for the majority of numismatic creators.

Han Jun (1857-1942), the name Zishi, a native of Hai'an, Jiangsu, wore many hats, from the magistrate to the governor of Jiangsu, with rich experience.

He devoted his life to industrial development and social construction, and firmly believed that "who is the world?".

Agriculture, industry, and mining sciences are also". During his tenure as the general office of the Henan Coin Bureau, he wrote a volume of "A Brief Account of Coin Minting", which recorded in detail the coinage process of the Baohe Bureau. This book is a precious archival material about the coinage of the Qing Dynasty, and has a high reference value for the study of finance, industry, smelting and other aspects at that time.

During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, due to the invasion of the Taiping army, the transportation of copper mines in Yunnan was blocked, and the finances of Jingshi were in trouble.

In order to solve the problem of funding, measures such as issuing banknotes and minting high-value coins were taken.

In this context, the Constitution became an extremely important document, detailing the various matters of the imperial court coinage, including the location, form, amount, supervision and storage.

This is a rare document on the coinage system of the Qing Dynasty.

In order to allow these precious historical materials to be inherited, we sent a special person to the north to transcribe, and after accurate proofreading, we made our own printing plates, and Ms. Wang Xinyue of Guquan Library hand-printed 100 copies.

Once printed, the plate will be destroyed and will not be reprinted.

Here, we would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Bwener for the first disclosure of the Qing Dynasty Chronicles, as well as to the collection and surviving information provided by Izumi Youtie Ruyi.

The Guquan Library is committed to the collation, protection and inheritance of precious documents, and the addition of these two works has contributed to this cause.
