Riot Games has announced that the list of 10 teams with a fixed spot in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) CN China has been confirmed. Starting next year, the CN region will be officially integrated into the Valorant esports global tournament system.
To create a new global esports event, Riot Games has launched the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). The tournament is annually made up of leagues and international competitions from around the world. Professional teams can compete in leagues and Masters tournaments with the goal of advancing to the World Championship and competing for Valorant World Championship honors. In 2024, the CN region will be ranked alongside the Americas, the Pacific and EMEA regions, and will officially become the fourth official league (VCT CN) of VCT.
After full evaluation and deliberation, 10 long-term partner teams of VCT CN have been officially formed, namely AG, BLG, EDG, FPX, JDG, NOVA, TE, TEC, TYL, and WOL. VCT CN League hopes to work with partner teams to build and maintain a good Valorant e-sports ecosystem, continue to inherit the professional and sports-oriented e-sports spirit, and continue to strive to become the world's top Valorant region.
Before the official start of the VCT CN League next year, the CN Division will determine a provisional league spot in the VCT CN League through the Valorant CN League Promotion Tournament (VCT CN Ascension). The teams participating in the promotion tournament are the teams that have not previously been a long-term partner of the VCT CN League and are ranked high in the Valorant CN Evolutionary Series Open Tournament.
The VCT CN League will be committed to cultivating more outstanding professional e-sports players for the industry, bringing exciting, passionate and moving event content to e-sports audiences, and creating more new breakthroughs for the CN region on the Valorant international competition stage.
