GH5188 alloy is a Co-Ni-Cr based solution-enhanced deformed superalloy with a service temperature of less than 1100. The alloy is solution strengthened by the addition of the W element, giving it excellent overall properties. In addition, high chromium and a small amount of catfish elements are added to the alloy, which makes the GH5188 alloy maintain good performance at high temperatures.

GH5188 chemical composition

GH5188 alloy has excellent hot and cold working plasticity and welding process properties, which makes it easy to process and join during the manufacturing process. The heat treatment system for this alloy includes different processes such as hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled strips and plates, as well as bars and forgings, each with its specific temperature and cooling rate requirements. GH5188 Physical Properties

In terms of smelting process, GH5188 alloy can be used by vacuum induction furnace electroslag remelting or vacuum induction furnace vacuum arc remelting process. Both processes guarantee the purity of the alloy and the accuracy of its composition. gh5188The minimum value of the mechanical properties of the alloy at room temperature

In terms of process performance, the forging heating temperature of GH5188 alloy is 1180, and the final forging temperature is not less than 980. After the casting mechanism is broken, a large amount of deformation can be used in order to reduce the frequency of reheating and refine the grains. The plate has good plasticity after solution treatment, and any cold forming process can be used, but its small deformation should be greater than 12% to prevent crystallization after annealing.

GH5188 alloy is used in a wide range of applications, including combustion chambers, tail nozzles, heat exchangers in the nuclear industry and other high-temperature components. In foreign countries, the alloy is widely used in the manufacture of gas turbines and missiles, while in China, high-temperature components such as flame cylinders and guide vanes in the combustion chamber of aero engines have passed long-term trial operation tests and have been put into production and application.

In the manufacturing process, any process such as heat treatment, welding, etc. should be protected from carburizing and copper contamination to prevent damage to the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy. At the same time, special care is also taken to prevent contamination and damage to parts made of alloy sheets.
