Winter fishing, about bait has been written for several issues, but most of the writing is the formula, flavor type, today I want to talk to you about another issue, that is, the state of bait.
The bait is very slow to produce silk in cold weather, and you will find that the bait used to be very good is not very easy to use in winter, and you can't pull the bait.
I see that the solution of many anglers is to add silk powder, which is indeed effective, but the disadvantages are greater. You will find that after using it for a period of time, the bait will become a pimple, and then the residue on the hook is particularly large, which will block the mouth, and the floating grinding and grinding can not give a pause, which may be caused by this, and the fish can't suck it in.
Without further ado, let's talk about solutions, and there are only two that I think are more reliable.
The first method is to open the bait with warm water
I believe that anglers should know that warm water can make the bait filament faster, but it should be noted that the water temperature should not be too high, too high water temperature will cause the protein in the bait including some other nutrients to denature, and will also destroy the state of the bait.
The approximate temperature is that your hands are a little warm to the touch, but in fact, you can do it without freezing your hands. My personal advice is to open the bait at home and bring it to the fishing spot just right.
Or you can bring a thermos pot when the weather is cold, one can drink some hot water to warm up, and the other can also pour out a little hot water and add some river water to adjust it into warm water to open the bait.
Tips: Some anglers like to add small medicine for winter fishing, and the small medicine is also better to melt with warm water, so that it is more fully integrated with the bait.
The second way is to open it in advance
The early opening here is not before departure, nor one or two hours in advance, but it is recommended to open overnight. Open it at night, put it in the bag overnight, and take it out the next morning and you can use it.
"I have said a few times in the hot weather in summer and autumn that it can increase the chance of catching big fish, for example, carp and grass carp like fermented food, and overnight bait is a micro-fermentation.
In winter, the effect of the overnight bait is not as good as when it is hot, but it is also good, and I personally think it is easier to get on the large carp.
Don't feel that the weather is cold in winter, the bait flavor type must be big and stimulating, which is also divided into fish conditions, sometimes the taste is not necessarily good or even counterproductive, especially when fishing big fish, the taste is definitely not harmful, and it will not make the fish vigilant and stressful.
Supplement: Do not add more drawing powder to the overnight bait, otherwise you will not be able to pull the bait the next day and the state will become very poor.
Bait in winter, light bran is better than snow pollen
Wild fishing generally does not need to add state bait, especially in recent years, the bait that the manufacturer advertises "one package is done" means that the state has been adjusted, neither need to add brushed powder, nor add state bait.
But then again, the fish conditions are different all over the country, including the fish conditions in different seasons, and it is impossible for one pack of bait to take into account all the fish conditions, so we can't be too rigid, and the adjustment has to be adjusted.
Like fishing in winter, you can open it alone at the beginning, and it is better to be able to catch fish normally, but if you feel that you are floating in the ink and do not give a mouth, then you need to adjust the bait, either add some flavor, or adjust the state, etc.
I won't talk about the flavor type today, and in terms of state, the most commonly used bait may be snow powder (bait made from potatoes), but I recommend using light bran is better.
What exactly is adjusting the state adjustment? It's nothing more than reducing the specific gravity and increasing atomization, but in terms of these two points, the performance of light bran is better than snowflake powder!
In addition, light bran also has two advantages that snowflake powder does not have, one is that light bran can prolong the state of the bait and will not be sticky like snowflake; The second is that light bran is not easy to regurgitate water, because its own water absorption is not strong.
The disadvantage of light bran is that it is higher (really good light bran** high), and it is better to add light bran to atomize, which is more attractive to small fish, so it is not suitable for use in hot weather.
In winter, it is better to bait and pull a ball (pull a big ball) than to draw powder
Pulling a ball, pulling a big ball is actually the same type of product, the name is different, everyone chooses when buying, as long as it is a big brand, it is generally no problem.
The disadvantage of pulling a ball is that the amount is large (it is more expensive to use a large amount), and the advantage is that it is in good condition and convenient to use. Like drawing powder, it is also divided into long and short yarn mixed yarns, sometimes you may buy the wrong one if you are not careful (I used to buy the wrong one), but pulling a ball will not have this situation.
In fact, I feel that pulling a ball is a compound brushed powder, something about the same
At the beginning, I bought the old ghost's pull ball, and after reading the introduction of the use of the ghost brother, it was to soak the "pull a ball" first, and then mix it with the commercial bait. At first, I used this method, and it was in good shape, but it was troublesome. The more I thought about it, the more troublesome it became, I couldn't help but be lazy, and I mixed it directly with the bait like the drawing powder and then poured water and stirred, and found that it was okay, and the state was not bad enough
Winter fishing, bait formula (flavor type) is very important, but don't ignore the state, the state is not good, the fish swallowing the bait is inconvenient, you may not eat it directly, or the float will always be ink can not get out of the mouth.
Sometimes it is not recommended to hang live bait such as earthworms that are too large and too thick, let alone commercial bait. The state of the bait is adjusted, and the bait can not be pulled very large, it is recommended to pull it sideways, the water is not very deep, and the hook tip is hung a little on the line, and the fish can be sucked in.
