In addition to these two new models from the Volkswagen Group, in this spy movie, you will also see test spy photos of the new generation Peugeot 5008, as well as ** pictures of the Tesla Model Y.

Volkswagen T7 California

A camper with a plug-in hybrid power

It's the middle of winter again, and the winter testing of major manufacturers has begun. The first test car we found in the winter test area this year was Volkswagen's next-generation California.

The California is a camping-specific model developed by Volkswagen's commercial vehicle division based on the Transporter series. The first generation of California was based on the *** transporter, also known as T4. Two years ago, Volkswagen disclosed that it would develop a new generation of California based on the T7. At the same time, idThe Buzz's long-wheelbase model will also get a California version.

The test car we photographed was apparently a petrol version of the T7 California. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles presented its concept version at the Düsseldorf RV Salon in August this year, and also unveiled some technical details: the new generation of California uses a plug-in hybrid system with a total power of 218 horsepower and a battery capacity of about 13 kWh, which can not only support an all-electric range of about 40 kilometers, but also provide convenience for the use of on-board appliances.

As a campervan, the new generation of California still has a foldable and liftable camper roof with a large area of retractable awning. Double-sided sliding doors allow the integrated kitchenette to be operated outside the vehicle. The car also comes with a shower and camping lights, and all camping-related functions can be controlled from a single tablet.

The California concept car T7 California is expected to be officially unveiled in the first half of next year, and it is hoped that Volkswagen will introduce this interesting model to the Chinese market.

Peugeot 5008

The focus is still on spatial utility

Peugeot unveiled the third-generation 3008 in September, and its quickback design is impressive. The car's sister model, the 5008, has now also entered a new phase of testing, and we expect it to be officially launched in the second half of 2024.

The 5008 test car, which was photographed in northern Sweden, still retains the box-like shape of its predecessor, and while it doesn't look as dashing as the 3008, it means more interior space and a third row of seats.

The next-generation 5008 will still be available in gasoline and plug-in hybrid models with mild hybrid systems. Considering that Peugeot will launch an all-electric version for each of its products in 2025, the E-5008 is a sure thing. Referring to the E-3008, the E-5008 is expected to be available in two standard single-motor models with a range and one all-wheel drive model with a total power of 320 horsepower.

Audi RS6 **ant Audi Sport

More powerful than RS6!

Engineers at Audi Sport, Audi's performance division, are developing an even more powerful RS6 station wagon. However, what makes people a little sad is that this version is probably also the swan song of this series.

Compared to the "regular" RS6 **ant, this Audi Sport special edition is clearly more powerful, with a lower front lip, vents in the fenders, and a deflector above the rear window that is almost as large as a rear wing. The large oval exhaust pipes have been retained, but the surrounding rear bumper and diffuser also look redesigned. On the rear door of this test car, we can also see strips representing the Audi Sport.

The RS6 **ANT already has a whopping 621 horsepower, so we estimate that this enhanced version will not fall below 650 horsepower. In addition to the increase in power, the Audi Sport may be lighter in weight, as its front fenders look like they're made of carbon fiber. The car's debut is expected to take place in the first half of 2024.

Tesla Model Y facelift

It is still highly consistent with Model 3

After the Model 3 has completed a facelift, the Model Y is already on the way. The 2024 Model Y, codenamed Juniper, will port a large number of **Model 3 design elements. According to Schulte's diagrams, the most striking changes to the Model Y are the straighter, more slender headlights, and a new front bumper with lower drag. At the rear, the C-shaped taillights will be integrated into the trunk lid. Inside, we expect the 15-inch display to be retained, but like the Model 3, the shift switch will be virtualized and placed on the screen.

In addition to the interior and exterior design updates, the range of the Model Y will also be improved. With reference to the Model 3, the all-wheel drive model is expected to have a range of more than 700 kilometers, and the rear-wheel drive model will also reach around 600 kilometers.
