Barça sporting director Deco is reportedly looking to bring in Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek in next summer's transfer window.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in '13, the Reds have had a disappointing record in terms of transfers and have been criticised for their recent hefty acquisitions. For example, Sancho, Antony, Casemiro, Maguire and others, although they have spent huge sums of money, have still achieved little.
Jadon Sancho joined from Borussia Dortmund for £72million in the summer of 2021, while Donny van de Beek moved from Ajax to Manchester United in 2020 for £35million.
Donny van de Beek has barely played a game under Ten Hag and there are reports that he will now join Eintracht Frankfurt and go on loan when the transfer window opens next month. It is understood that Eintracht Frankfurt could pay a further £12.5 million if they wish to make a permanent move at the end of his loan spell in Germany.
Sancho, meanwhile, was barred from the first-team facilities and forced to leave Ten Hag's squad for training after refusing to apologise for the social post.
Jadon Sancho believes he has been the scapegoat for a poor start to the season at Old Trafford, with Ten Hag citing his poor performances in training as a reason for his exclusion from the team.
Jadon Sancho is now set to leave the club in January, most likely on loan, before leaving permanently next summer.
According to Spain's **nacional, Barcelona have decided to sign Donny van de Beek from Manchester United next summer, and more interestingly, Jadon Sancho is also included in the 40 million euros.
It was a "very interesting two-in-one" move for Laporta, and Deco was very happy with the deal. Deco believes it will "strengthen two necessary positions", but Xavi, who is under pressure, "doesn't seem to be attracted to this double signing".
