Hare wintering has the following characteristics:
1.Habitat: In winter, hares choose to live in mixed forests with water sources and trees, sandy desert areas in grassland areas, and especially prefer to inhabit young forests of prickly poplar locust.
2.Burrows: Hares will have their own burrows, and there will be plenty of firewood and grass in the burrows in winter. Bunnies keep warm with this firewood and grass.
3.Hoarding fat and hair: Before winter, hares will eat large amounts of plants to hoard body fat. At the same time, their fur will become thick and dense in winter, which is equivalent to wearing a thick cashmere coat for themselves, which improves the warmth effect.
4.Rules: Hares generally do not come out in winter, and only run out to forage when there is a lack of food. They are very hidden, and when they are not active, their coat color blends with the surrounding weeds, making them difficult to detect even if they are within a meter of a person.
5.Strong fecundity: Wild rabbits are very fecundity and can give birth each year in shallow, hidden rabbit nests.
Three or four litters, 5-6 per litter.
6.Adaptable: The hare has a keen sense of hearing and vision, runs quickly, hides well, and can catch very few animals despite its predators.
Hares mainly adapt to winter life by finding a suitable habitat, hoarding fat and hair, and adjusting their activity patterns.
