However, the close relationship between China and Pakistan has made China a thorn in the side of local terrorist groups, the most widely known of which is the "Balochistan Liberation Army", which has repeatedly launched terrorist attacks on Chinese citizens, killing many Chinese citizens.
These terrorist organizations are trying to improve China-Pakistan relations in this way in order to achieve their ulterior motives.
In August this year, an attack on Chinese engineers occurred in Pakistan's Gwadar port.
The convoy escorting the Chinese engineer was attacked near the Gwadar police station, with three SUVs and one van, fortunately all bulletproof vehicles.
There were a total of 23 Chinese personnel, and there were no injuries under the protection of Pakistani personnel. Pakistani officials announced that 2 attackers were eliminated on the spot and 4 Pakistani soldiers were injured.
The Balochistan Liberation Army then claimed responsibility for the attack, a terrorist group that has carried out several terrorist attacks against Chinese in the past.
As early as 2004, when 12 engineers from our Ministry of Transport were attacked by a car bomb at the construction site of Gwadar Port, three people were killed and nine were injured.
In 2005, a Chinese company was hit by rockets at a road construction site near Gwadar Port. In 2006, three Chinese engineers were killed in a terrorist attack on a Chinese engineer who was carrying out technical assistance in the area.
In November 2018, the Baloch Liberation Army even attacked the Chinese consulate in Pakistan. Fortunately, the Pakistani police arrived in time, and in the end, two Pakistani police officers were killed in the line of duty, and there were no Chinese personnel.
In May 2019, the terrorist group attacked the Pearl Hotel in Gwadar Port and engaged in fierce fighting with the local **.
In August 2021, a suicide bomb attack on a convoy carrying Chinese personnel on the Gwadar East Bay Expressway Project injured one Chinese person, killed two local children, and injured many others.
In April 2022, a suicide terrorist attack on the bus of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi in Pakistan killed four people, including three Chinese citizens.
Pakistan's terrorist organizations have long had Chinese blood on their hands, and Pakistan has long promised to protect the safety of Chinese personnel, and has thwarted many terrorist attacks, for which many Pakistani personnel have died.
There is no need to think that behind these terrorist organizations, there must be external forces secretly funding.
Chinese citizens are being targeted because the risks of BRI projects are increasing as they reach stakeholders in the region.
Once the economic cooperation between China and Pakistan grows stronger, the most unbearable will be India, which is also suspected of being behind the terrorist groups in Pakistan.
Some time ago, the leader of the "Baloch Nationalist Army" surrendered to Pakistan, and now he has admitted that India has been secretly supporting the activities of local terrorist organizations, and the way is to provide financial support.
In response, Pakistan** stated that India's support and use of terrorism was the main reason for the continued terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Seeing that the China-Pakistan cooperation project is in full swing, not only Pakistan has followed China all the way to develop and grow, but China also has a new transportation route, can India not be in a hurry?
However, no matter how much external forces sabotage them, they will not affect China-Pakistan relations. This is because China has never attached any strings to its cooperation with Pakistan, let alone cultivated its own forces. No matter how Pakistan's domestic political situation changes, its relationship with China is unbreakable.
