Special shaped steel bars can be arranged like this?General Tools Series of Water Catchment Wells

Mondo Social Updated on 2024-01-30

With the continuous advancement of BIM applications, the demand for BIM reinforcement modeling is becoming more and more urgent.

The expression of steel bars in the design drawing is divided into two categories, one is the flat expression, and the other is the large sample expression. The expressions of these two types are mapped to the reinforcement modeling tools, which are divided into the component definition class and the [General Tools] class. That is to sayDawn BIM rebar can support the rebar arrangement of almost all component types.

The widget definition class contains more than 30 widget types. The major categories are divided into pile foundations, foundations, columns, walls, beams, slabs, stairs, secondary components, sporadic components, etc. Each of these categories corresponds to a variety of categories, such as walls including: shear walls, masonry walls, civil air defense door frame walls, underground diaphragm walls, etc.

1-1 Parametric Reinforcement Member Type Table.

The above component types can be expressed by writing reinforcement information in the software, and the software independently completes the calculation of reinforcement quantities and the layout of the model entity according to the set parameters.

Today, we are mainly talking about the reinforcement arrangement of large-scale components. As mentioned in the previous article, large-scale components can be arranged through the [General Tools] function, and this issue will share the function of quickly drawing the reinforcements of special-shaped components developed by Dawn Technology Group on the Revit platform - [General Tools].

1-2 [General Tools] Functional positioning.

General Tool] is to complete the rapid layout of special-shaped steel bars in the form of two-dimensional reinforcement line drawing by cutting the cross-section shape of special-shaped components, so as to improve the efficiency of reinforcement modeling of special-shaped components. It is suitable for: the calculation of reinforcement results and the layout of solid reinforcement of professional special-shaped components such as housing construction and bridges. The supported component types include: water collection wells, air conditioning panels, eaves gutters, bridge piers, cover beams, box girders, etc.

General Tools Series of Water Catchment Wells

Figure 3-1 is a large sample of the water collection well in the design drawing, and it can be obtained through analysis that the steel bar of the water collection well component to be drawn in this section contains a top stress bar and a bottom stress bar (Figure 3-2).

3-1 Sample of the design drawing of the collecting well (before analysis).

3-2 Sample of the design drawing of the collecting well (after analysis).

Procedure

The idea of arranging the reinforcement is to draw a section of the same style as the design drawing, and draw the reinforcement line according to the reinforcement information in the drawing, and determine the shape, length, and position of the reinforcement in the section. After completing the reinforcement drawing of all sections, click [Single Layout] to complete the reinforcement quantity calculation and reinforcement model creation of the defined components.

Parameter settings:Select the water collection well and click the General Tool function to open the General Tool function window. A top view of the sump well is displayed in the View Definition. In "Settings", set the protective layer, seismic grade, environmental category, and concrete strength of the component, as shown in Figure 3-3.

3-3 Parameter settings.

Create Sections:In the Section Definition, click Section, and in the View Definition, click two points to draw the section. Since the sump has a cavity part and a non-opening part, and the profile shape is different, it is necessary to draw separate sections at the openings and without openings. A total of four sections are drawn in both directions, as shown in Figure 3-4.

3-4 Section drawing.

New Rebar:Switch to Section Edit, select Section 1 as view, and click New Bar to create a new Horizontal Bar type, as shown in Figure 3-5.

3-5 Create a new reinforcement.

Attribute Definition:Double-click "Horizontal Bar 1" and rename it to "Bottom Stress Bar". In the property list at the bottom left, enter the reinforcement information "c16@200" and the starting distance "100", as shown in Figure 3-6.

3-6 Attribute Definitions.

Rebar Drawing:Click [Arrange Horizontal Bars], in the secondary functions that appear, click [Parallel Arrangement], in the Reinforcement Library Browser, select "2 Fold", and click on the hypotenuse of the water collection well to draw the horizontal bars arranged along the protective layer of the hypotenuse of the water collection well, as shown in Figure 3-7.

3-7 Rebar Drawing.

Attribute Definition:In Properties, enter the start extension length of "300", the end extension length of "300", the start extension angle of "0", and the end extension angle of "180" degrees. (0° horizontally to the right, counterclockwise, the angle gradually increases.) As shown in Figure 3-8.

3-8 Attribute Definitions.

Type Replication:Select Bottom Reinforcement and click Copy to copy a reinforcement type. Double-click to change the name to "Top Stress Bar", as shown in Figure 3-9.

3-9 type replication.

Tips: The general tool provides a variety of drawing methods, and then the drawing of the top tendon is explained with parallel edge arrangement.

Rebar Drawing:Click [Arrange Horizontal Bars], in the secondary functions that appear, click [Parallel Arrangement], in the Reinforcement Library Browser, select "0 Fold", and click on the lower edge of the hole to draw the horizontal bars arranged along the protective layer of the lower edge of the hole, as shown in Figure 3-10.

3-10 Rebar Drawing.

Rebar Drawing:In the lower function bar, click the Protective Layer drop-down to switch to Protective Layer (Extended) to display the white protective layer lines in the view and extend the protective layer to intersect, as shown in Figure 3-11.

3-11 Rebar Drawing.

Rebar Modification:Click [Reinforcement Modification], in the secondary function that appears, click [Point Selection Drawing], in the drawing, select the top stress bar, select the starting point, extend the reinforcement to the intersection of the protective layer, and then select the end point to extend the reinforcement to the intersection of the protective layer, as shown in Figure 3-12.

3-12 Reinforcement Modification.

Attribute Definition:In the Properties, enter 300 for the start point extension, 300 for the end point extension, 120 for the start point extension angle, and 60 degrees for the end point extension, as shown in Figure 3-13.

3-13 Attribute Definitions.

Rebar Copy:Because the shape of the section is the same as that of section 2 and section 1, you can click Apply to other sections to copy the reinforcement drawn by section 1 to section 2. As shown in Figure 3-14.

3-14 Reinforcement Copying.

Rebar Drawing:Select Section 3 for view, and click New Reinforcement to create a new Horizontal Reinforcement type.

Rebar Drawing:Double-click "Horizontal Bar 1" and rename it to "Bottom Stress Bar". In the property list at the bottom left, enter the reinforcement information "c16@200" and the starting distance "100".

Rebar Drawing:Click [Arrange Horizontal Bars], in the secondary functions that appear, click [Parallel Arrangement], in the Reinforcement Library browser, select "2 Fold", and click on the hypotenuse of the water collection well to draw the horizontal bars arranged along the protective layer of the hypotenuse of the water collection well, as shown in Figure 3-15.

3-15 rebar drawing.

Attribute Definition:In the Properties, enter 300 for the start extension, 300 for the end point, 180 for the start point extension, and 0 degrees for the end point, as shown in Figure 3-16.

3-16 Attribute Definitions.

Rebar Copy:Since the shape of the cross-section of cross-section 4 and cross-section 3 is the same, you can click Apply to other cross-sections to copy the rebar drawn by cross-section 3 to cross-section 4.

Rebar arrangement:Click Single Arrangement to lay out the defined water collection well reinforcements, as shown in Figure 3-17.

3-17 rebar arrangement.

Results:Click Report Preview to view the report, and click Export to Excel to export the report, as shown in Figure 3-18.
