Which coffee should I choose?
Coffee, a beverage that has been around for centuries, is constantly being explored every day. There are various types of coffee drinks, each with a unique flavor and texture.
Filter coffee
Filter coffee is brewed by placing ground coffee beans in a filter (placed on a cup or carafe) and then pouring hot water. Common glass bottles are Hario V60 and Kalita W**E. Water flows out through the pores, allowing only the tiniest coffee particles to pass through.
Palate:Smooth, clean, gentle and light.
Features:It has an aromatic aroma and a full-bodied, rounded body.
How to drink:Suitable for hot or cold drinks.
Espresso and its variants
Espresso is made by rinsing through finely ground coffee beans with hot water. It has a history of several centuries and was originally invented in Italy. There are various variations of espresso, including:
Black Coffee Drinks:Espresso, long black coffee, Americano, iced Americano.
Milk Coffee Drinks:Cappuccino, Latte, Cortado, Flat White, Macchiato, Mocha, Iced Latte, Latte Macchiato, etc.
All you need to do is one or two shots of espresso and add hot water or hot milk to make your favorite drink. The taste of espresso can be described by three main characteristics: bitterness, acidity, and body.
Cold brew coffee
Cold brew coffee is a popular alternative to iced coffee and is brewed using water that has been cooled to no more than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It is usually made by pouring cold water over the coffee grounds and letting the mixture steep for a few hours. This process extracts the flavor of the beans without making the drink too bitter.
Palate:Clean, refreshing, light and low acidity.
Features:Juicy, fresh and silky at the same time. Compared to hot brewed coffee, it has a lighter taste.
Coffee cocktails
Coffee cocktails combine coffee with other ingredients, such as spirits and liqueurs. Some examples include Irish coffee, Bailey, espresso martini, and Negroni.
Irish Coffee:A combination of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar and whipped cream.
Bailey:Bailey Irish cream and espresso are mixed in equal parts.
Espresso Martini and Coffee Negroni are also examples of a variety of creative coffee cocktails. It's an endless range of possibilities for people who like to experiment with different flavors, especially those who love bartending.
