Some manual assignments are out of touch with reality, and the difficulty is obviously beyond the ability of students, which is a problem that cannot be ignored.

It's winter vacation right now, and student manual homework has become a business.

According to Chao News, in recent years, in the context of encouraging quality education and promoting "double reduction", the forms of preschool education and primary and secondary school operations have become increasingly diversified. Among them, the proportion of manual work has risen, and some of them are not low. What children can't complete naturally becomes the "homework" of parents, while parents with limited time and energy choose "outsourcing" in order to complete the task. On e-commerce platforms, "manual work" has become a business.

Previously, a topic titled "Kindergarten Manual Homework Kills Parents" rushed to the hot search on Weibo, which resonated with many parents. Parents posted their works in the comment area, and left messages "Manual homework is too expensive for parents" and "At the age of 30, you have to draw a hand-copied newspaper", revealing the helplessness of the child's manual work is difficult to complete.

It can be said that "manual homework on behalf of others" has become a business, which is to meet the urgent needs of parents, and the popularity of this kind of business also reflects the deformation of manual work.

In fact, as an extension of classroom teaching, manual homework allows students to get rid of the confinement of book homework, which not only helps to stimulate students' interest in doing homework, but also enhances their hands-on ability and thinking ability, and cultivates imagination, observation and creativity.

Moreover, some manual homework also requires parents to participate in it, and while doing homework, it can also enhance parent-child relationship and create a good home-school co-education atmosphere for the healthy growth of students.

However, manual work, which used to be very beneficial, has now become a burden for students and parents, and has become a business for merchants.

Of course, there are students and parents who have limited energy, are difficult to take into account, and have to rely on external forces, but some manual work itself is out of reality, and the difficulty obviously exceeds the ability of students at this stage, which cannot be ignored.

Some parents said that some manual tasks are really too difficult, from preparing materials, designing styles, to finally finishing, it is common to spend several hours.

Nowadays, manual work is far from being as simple as origami and clip art in terms of content design. In reality, there are many requests for jack-o-lanterns, paper-shell "armor", openwork tassel lanterns, and even eggshell paintings. In terms of result evaluation, it is necessary to divide three, six, nine and so on, and evaluate the best.

It is difficult for children to complete, parents have limited energy, and they are constrained by reward and punishment regulations. In order to complete the task, many parents find someone to do it on their behalf, which naturally gives birth to the corresponding market.

This not only deviates from the original intention of manual work design, greatly dissolves the meaning of this type of work, but also forms a vicious circle. When the homework requirements are carefully followed, the children do it themselves, and the parents participate in the guidance to complete the works, but they can't compare to the bought, who would want to do such a thankless job?

What's more, parents give their children bad examples in the process of buying and selling homework, which will cause children to have a wrong perception of the rules. If spending money on homework becomes a normal operation in a family, what kind of values is this transmitting? And in this process, what the child loses may be the joy of participating in it, the opportunity to grow and progress.

Parents and platforms that allow this kind of trading behavior to be rampant are to blame, but schools and teachers should encourage students to do manual work according to their own actual conditions in the homework design stage, find more highlights in the evaluation of works, and prevent "high and low judgments" caused by the simplification of evaluation standards.

In this way, manual work may be less "task" and more "playful". The principle that students' manual work should be done by students, at least mainly by students, can be maintained.
