Huawei and ASML have released new news one after another, and foreign media believe that the TSMC era has ended.

TSMC is ahead of other manufacturers in chip process technology and market share. TSMC alone owns 60% of the world's wafer foundries, and you can feel that TSMC's chip design giants are basically its customers. Huawei and HiSilicon originally planned to cooperate with TSMC, but due to the restrictions of the semiconductor industry, the two companies have not cooperated.
TSMC did not anticipate Intel's rapid growth in chip contracts. At the same time, Huawei, ASML and other companies have released new products one after another, and foreign media even said: "TSMC's good days are over".
Huawei launched in ASML.
Huawei and ASML used to be TSMC's largest customers, and ASML was TSMC's largest supplier of lithography equipment. These two companies are a huge impact on TSMC's chip production industry.
Although Huawei's order does not have much impact on TSMC's production, TSMC must build a factory in the United States in order to get more orders from the American market, so it has won the US subsidy. For TSMC to get the subsidy, it needs to meet a set of demanding requirements.
After losing TSMC's foundry, Huawei began to seek a breakthrough in the domestic market, and the advent of the Kirin 9000 S indicates that Huawei is looking for a way out. Huawei also announced the nova 12, which also uses Kirin chips, and will be equipped with Kirin 9000 SL and Kirin 8000.
Because this Kirin processor does not need to be provided by TSMC, Huawei's Kirin processor will continue to be provided to the domestic semiconductor industry.
For ASML, the more advanced NA EUV lithography machine will be placed by ASML as a supplier of lithography machines to Intel. Because the NA-type EUV lithography machine is a key piece of equipment for manufacturing the 2 nm process, ASML will only produce 10 models in 2024, while Intel will only have 6 units available.
Huawei and ASML have successively announced that the former will no longer rely on TSMC, but will supply more Kirin chips to TSMC; The latter offers a more advanced NA-EUV lithography process to other competitors.
TSMC's glory has come to an end.
TSMC is one of the largest IC manufacturers in the world. TSMC has been developing and producing advanced processes for 7nm, 5nm and below. This allows them to produce high-performance, energy-efficient wafers to meet increasing market demand.
In addition, TSMC has long-standing and solid partnerships with world-class IC designers such as Apple, Intel, and AMD. Due to TSMC's outstanding performance in technology and production quality, TSMC has become its production partner.
And now, the competition in the global semiconductor market is becoming more and more fierce, and it is already a breakthrough for China to provide Huawei with Kirin chips, and Intel has obtained ASML's EUV lithography machine, which is undoubtedly a huge blow to Samsung, especially Samsung's interest in TSMC.
Foreign country**: TSMC's days are over, and TSMC will never sit there and make money so easily again. Even if TSMC is still the world's largest chip manufacturer, it is impossible for its peers to give up on this.
Especially when Moore's Law is coming to an end and breakthroughs have been made in process technology, the problems that TSMC has to face are even more serious.
