The audience in Shanghai can feast their eyes again!
Several national dramas are about to debut.
Let's take a look!
The original dance drama "Nine Years of Yonghe".
- Orchid Pavilion Collection Preface: Dance Biography
A thousand years ago, the grand gathering of the sages and the blessings of the spring in the "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" achieved a well-deserved peak in the history of Chinese calligraphy art, which fascinated countless literati and artists.
A thousand years later, the dance drama "Yonghe Nine Years" - Lanting Collection Preface and Dance Biography will condense the inheritance process of "Lanting Collection Preface" on the square inch stage. Wang Xizhi, Tang Taizong, Mrs. Wei, and the monk ......What is the story behind this world-famous "world's first line of books"?
The whole dance drama closely follows the Chinese cultural treasure "Orchid Pavilion Collection Preface", uses the famous sentences in the preface as the clues to the theme and emotional advancement of the dance drama, and adopts the combination of lyricism and narrative to integrate calligraphy and literati feelings into the choreography of the dance.
Many of the dance sequences in the dance drama are inspired by calligraphy, and they also strive to show the essence of calligraphy. For example, in the heroic and majestic dance posture of the group dance "Yongzi Eight Laws", the charm of calligraphy is fully displayed.
Performance time: February 14-15.
Venue: Shanghai Culture Square.
Dance poetry drama "Only This Green".
——Dance painting "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains".
The vast distant mountains contain daisies, a little bit of ultramarine, and the green landscapes that "come alive" do not lose their elegant and ancient charm, adding a bit of grandeur. They stepped on the rhythm of the music, still and moving, giving birth to lotuses step by step, and finally with the change of lights, they merged into a continuous green mountain - the famous painting "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains".
On the stage of "Only This Green", with the spread of the picture scroll, the painter Xi Meng and the seal carver, the silk weaver, the grinding stone, the pen maker, and the ink maker appeared one by one. The audience followed the steps of the scroll exhibitor, followed the chapter outline of "unfolding the scroll, asking the seal, singing silk, searching for stones, learning the brush, quenching the ink, and entering the painting", and felt the drawing process of "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" together.
Perceiving the 5,000-year-old history of Chinese civilization and feeling the cultural charm that has been handed down to this day is what the dance poetry drama "Only This Green" wants to express, and it is also the weakness that pokes at the heart of every audience.
Performance time: April 17-21.
Venue: Shanghai Culture Square.
Drama "Journey to the West".
The drama "Journey to the West" is produced by the Shanghai Dramatic Art Center, and the playwright Gu Lei created the text based on a number of "Journey to the West" literary works, and was directed by Hong Kong director Szeto Huizhuo.
The drama "Journey to the West" is not to criticize "Journey to the West" from a literary and artistic perspective, nor to study "Journey to the West" by researching methods, but to borrow the plot of "Journey to the West" to borrow the topic, starting from the night before learning the scriptures, and retrace all the way in one night, using all the way to speak and good and evil, and using good and evil to compare the present world.
At the end of the play, there are various versions of "Journey to the West", including**"Journey to the West" (People's Literature Publishing House, 1980 edition), Yuan miscellaneous drama "Journey to the West" (written by Yang Jingxian), etc.
Performance time: February 24 - March 10.
Venue: Shanghai Dramatic Art Center.
** Drama "Yang Jian".
"Yang Jian" is based on well-known myths and legends such as Splitting the Mountain to Save the Mother, the Three Virgins and Liu Yanchang, and the Tengu Eating the Moon, and the story of Yang Jian and Agarwood splitting the mountain to save the mother is reintegrated in the form of ** drama.
As one of the few characters in the huge oriental mythological system, Yang Jian is destined to be extraordinary from the moment he was born. Whether it is the "sanctification of the flesh" written in "The Romance of the Gods" or the "half-human and half-god" launched by Yang Jian in the ** drama, it means that human touch is a characteristic that Yang Jian cannot ignore.
When we walk into the ** drama "Yang Jian", we can not only see Erlang God as an "all-round warrior", but also see him as a human being with a great sense of brokenness.
Performance time: February 23 - March 10.
Venue: Young Theatre.
Materials: Shanghai Culture Square, Shanghai Dramatic Art Center, Young Theatre.
Text and editor: Liu Yi.
