In order to deeply explore the connotation of excellent traditional Chinese culture, enrich cultural life, and create a joyful, healthy and harmonious New Year atmosphere, recently, Shanghai Yizhen Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd. and Xiayang Street, Qingpu District, jointly planned and organized a series of welcome activities with the theme of "New Year's Flavor on the Nib".
At the event site, the calligraphers splashed ink and condensed their expectations for the good New Year into auspicious Spring Festival couplets and blessing characters, and presented them to residents. The residents enthusiastically participated, wrote creative blessing characters by hand, and also experienced the intangible cultural heritage skills - Cao Sugong's ink ingot and gold painting. There are also booths at the event site, such as red painting and rubbing, so that friends of all ages can create personalized New Year blessing works. The lantern-making activity was equally engaging, further strengthening community cohesion and enhancing residents' sense of cultural belonging and well-being by teaching them how to make lanterns with traditional Chinese characteristics. In addition, the staging of the Magic City Double Star Magic Show also presented a visual feast for the public, and art and folk customs complemented each other to create a unique Spring Festival performance.
In addition, on the afternoon of February 15 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year), the Qingpu District Cultural Center will hold a parent-child activity of "Dragon Hunting, Treasure Hunting, Auspicious Dragon Welcome", echoing the traditional cultural theme of "Dragon Hunting". The activity will focus on Chinese dragon culture and intangible cultural heritage Tubu Dragon, combining reading, games and handicrafts, and guide children to explore the legend of the nine sons of the dragon king through role-playing and storytelling. Parents and children will participate in an informative and interactive treasure hunt to win intangible cultural heritage gifts and wishing dragon scales to express their hopes for the New Year. Under the guidance of professional lecturers, Qingpu intangible cultural heritage homespun cloth dyeing and weaving technology will also be used to collaboratively make homespun notebooks for the Year of the Dragon, aiming to deepen children's understanding of traditional culture and enhance intimate communication between families.
