National standards"Laboratory Animal Environment and Facilities GB14925-2023".It will be approved and released on November 27, 2023, and will be officially implemented on June 1, 2024!
The standard consists of:Scope, normative references, terms and definitions, general requirements, environmental classification, environmental indicators, process layout, facilities, waste disposal, transportation, testing and operation and maintenanceand other 11 parts. Replacing GB14925-2010 "Laboratory Animal Environment and Facilities", compared with GB14925-2010, in addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The definitions of "normal", "barrier" and "isolated" have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2010 edition);
b) The terms and definitions of "general environmental facilities", "barrier environmental facilities", "isolation equipment", "static" and "dynamic" have been added (see Chapter 3);
c) changed the definition of cleanliness class (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2010 edition);
d) In the classification of experimental animal environments, the negative pressure barrier environment and negative pressure isolation environment have added the applicable animal grade "ordinary animal", and cancelled the "clean animal" and "living animal" (see Chapter 5);
e) Changed the temperature, humidity, minimum working illumination and other indicators of the general environment, barrier environment and isolated environment (see Chapter 6, 5. of the 2010 edition).2);
f) The main environmental indicators such as minimum differential pressure, relative humidity, cleanliness level, etc., have been changed in the auxiliary area of the barrier environment (see 62.2, 2010 edition of 52.3);
g) Added process layout, fire protection and other related requirements (see Chapter 7, 8.)6);
h) Added requirements for the construction of laboratory animal facilities, air conditioning, drinking water supply and drainage, electrical, automatic control, testing, operation and maintenance (see. 5, Chapter 11);
i) Changed the requirement for a minimum space required for the shelter of commonly used laboratory animals (see 8.)7, 2010 edition of 81.3);
j) Changes to the standards for wastewater treatment in laboratory animal facilities (see 9.)1, 2010 edition of 71);
k) Changes to the requirements for the transport of laboratory animals (see 10.)1, Chapter 9 of the 2010 edition);
l) Added an animal welfare dimension (see Chapter 4, 8.).7);
m) Detection conditions have been changed in the assay (see Appendix A Appendix I, Appendix A Appendix I of the 2010 edition).
