According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's second-generation Vision Pro headset is at least 18 months away. Gurman in the latest issue"power on"The newsletter says that Apple may be at least a year and a half away from the release of the second-generation Vision Pro headset, and it will not be until the end of August 2025 at the earliest.
Gurman noted that Apple is very interested in why customers who choose to return the first-generation Vision Pro headset, and will eventually feed feedback from retail stores back to the company's headquarters to help refine the next version of the device.
This rumor actually rules out the possibility that the Vision Pro will be updated annually like the iPhone or Apple Watch, suggesting that it could have a longer update cycle, perhaps even more than the iPad.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and market research firm Omdia have previously mentioned that the second-generation Vision Pro headset will be released in 2027. It is reported that before that, there may not be a hardware update for the Vision Pro, which means that the Vision Pro may not be updated for up to 54 months from the first generation release to the second generation release.
Meanwhile, according to The Information and Bloomberg, Apple could launch a lower-priced Vision headset around 2025.
