Turn against? It was once helped by China s Beidou free of charge, but now it unilaterally tears up

After the US GPS suppression and the shame of the "Milky Way" incident, China made up its mind to develop its own satellite navigation system.

Although it only started in 2000, in just over 20 years, Beidou has developed into its third generation, designed with global coverage in mind, and especially strengthened services to the Asia-Pacific region. Not only does it have all the basic functions of GPS, but it also provides short message communication services, which can give it a clear advantage in areas where there is no mobile network coverage.

Nowadays, Beidou navigation has been recognized by the International Maritime Organization as one of the global maritime navigation systems, coupled with the popularization of 5G technology, many countries have reached a win-win cooperation situation with China, Australia is one of them.

Compared with China, Australia as a whole has a lower latitude, closer to the equator, a good launch inclination, a sparse population, and a vast uninhabited area, which are all suitable conditions for launching satellites.

The cooperation between China and Australia, in addition to popularization, is also to take advantage of Australia's special geographical location to build an observatory, and promise to allow Australia to jointly use Chinese equipment after the completion of the observatory.

China is so sincere and a win-win situation that Australia has no reason to say no.

Unexpectedly, however, Australia unilaterally refused to cooperate with China, and was notified after the construction of the Chinese observatory. The Australian side believes that China can no longer use this observatory, and any sovereignty over this observatory will henceforth belong to Australia.

Perhaps Australia's decision to put China together is not out of its own intentions, and it is likely that the United States is instigating it behind the scenes, but why doesn't Australia consider its own national interests? A small observatory and the help of China's "Beidou" satellite navigation system are simply incomparable.

Moreover, China's promise that Australia can share the equipment of the observatory and that Australia itself can use it, and that it should reject China is only too stupid.

As the instigation of the United States, "Beidou" is bound to seize the GPS market when it is about to take it, and any way that can hit China will not be spared, and Australia itself will die as a member of the Five Eyes Alliance, which is a traditional ally of the United States, so it is not surprising to be able to make such a move.

However, Australia's retribution has also followed, Huawei had previously planned to make Western Australia a global 5G research and development center, but Australia's hostility to China and sanctions on Huawei 5G have made Australia a step behind the development of the times. In the short term, it is a loss of $500 million, and the long-term loss is incalculable.

Generally speaking, because of political factors, they change their minds halfway and devour the due interests of other countries, which is what many Western countries often do. But Australia's behavior is indeed a bit foolish, not only losing China as an important partner, but also damaging its own reputation, and other countries will also think of China as a "lesson from the past" when they want to cooperate with Australia.
