Pua, the English word translated, was given an artistic Chinese name - Pickup Artist. They know how to attract the attention of the opposite sex, and skillfully manipulate ambiguity and desire to achieve their goals. Today, however, the meaning of PUA has gone beyond mere pick-up techniques and is seen as verbal and mental manipulation.
This kind of manipulation is not uncommon and is often hidden in family relationships or even in the learning environment. For example, some parents will use strong language to demand that their children must be a certain person. If a child is unable to meet these requirements, he or she may be treated with indifference or even seen as "thrown away", as if he or she was thrown back in the trash. This language pattern is undoubtedly an obvious PUA behavior.
For example, in a relationship, some men may use coercive words to make their girlfriends feel loved. They may tell their girlfriend that if they don't do things their way, they will incur the disgust of others, and only they will accept such a girlfriend.
