Tusi threatened to stay with the Red Army, otherwise the fight began. The result?

In the history of the Chinese revolution, the name Zhou Shuliang is little known. He is one of the countless unknown revolutionaries who disappeared into history without a trace, leaving behind a touching story.

Even years later, the founding general Xiao Hua recalled Zhou Shuliang and was still full of sentimentality.

During the Red Army's Long March, although they encountered difficulties and obstacles, they always adhered to discipline and did not commit any offence against the people's property and food. When Xiao Hua, a young Red Army general, was serving as the political commissar of the Second Division of the Red First Army, he was always worried about raising food.

The road is sparsely populated, and it is difficult to raise food, and the Tusi armed forces often attack the food collection team, and even kill people to cut off limbs and gouge out eyes. On one occasion, the 2nd Division's food brigade was attacked, 7 soldiers were killed, and a Red Army cadre was captured by the Tusi Army.

Zhou Shuliang was the Red Army cadre who was captured, and he was a young officer of the Second Division. When Xiao Hua heard the news, he immediately brought the troops to the rescue. Although the policy of the Red Army was to try not to clash with the Tusi forces, in order to rescue Zhou Shuliang, Xiao Hua still started negotiations with the Tusi forces.

After communication, Tusi said that he would not attack the Red Army in the future, but he would leave Zhou Shuliang behind. The explanation given by Tusi was that he hoped that Zhou Shuliang would help them do things, what to do and how long to do it, but Tusi did not answer.

Zhou Shuliang resolutely disagreed to stay, not eating or drinking. Later, in order to get Xiao Hua to agree to keep Zhou Shuliang, Tusi also promised to sell grain to the Red Army who passed along the way.

Xiao Hua was faced with a difficult decision: on the one hand, his troops were in dire need of food, and many of his fighters were struggling with hunger; On the other hand, he was reluctant to leave his comrades behind.

After careful consideration, Xiao Hua asked his superiors for instructions and met Zhou Shuliang, who was detained by Tusi. Zhou Shuliang's tears revealed the grievances and fright of many days, and Xiao Hua understood his feelings.

However, the mission of the Red Army was to go north to resist the Japanese, and the national policy did not allow us to go to war with Tusi. The large army was about to cross the meadows, but there was a shortage of food. In order to help the troops solve the food problem, the organization hoped that Zhou Shuliang would stay and do the work of the toast.

Xiao Hua struggled for a long time in his heart, he didn't want to keep his comrades-in-arms, but reality forced him to make such a decision. After listening to this, Zhou Shuliang was silent for a long time, and finally he nodded in agreement, saying that for the sake of the Red Army and the revolution, he obeyed the organization's arrangement.

Xiao Hua's eyes were full of tears, and he reminded Zhou Shuliang that he was a member of the Communist Party and a red seed that wanted to take root and grow here. He also promised that they would come to pick him up after the victory of the revolution.

At this time, the deep parting feelings of comrades-in-arms permeated their hearts. However, they had no way of knowing what Zhou Shuliang was thinking in his heart and what Xiao Hua was thinking in his heart. When parting, Zhou Shuliang solemnly saluted his comrades, and then slowly left with the Tusi people.

After Zhou Shuliang left, the Tusi forces stopped attacking the Red Army and provided some food to the Second Division.

After a short rest, the 2nd Division continued its advance northward. Before leaving, Xiao Hua stared in the direction of the Tusi Fortress, as if he saw a tall figure saluting the Red Army.

Since then, there has been no news from Zhou Shuliang, and there has been no more news. After the liberation, although the organization sent people to look for it, it was in vain after all, and Zhou Shuliang disappeared in the vast sea of people.

The reason why we know Zhou Shuliang is because Admiral Xiao Hua mentioned this incident in his reminiscences in his later years. However, we know very little about Zhou Shuliang. To this day, we don't even know what he was the best person to be, his date of birth, what other relatives he had at home, not to mention what he experienced after the withdrawal of the Red Army.

He didn't even have a ** left. Zhou Shuliang, like many revolutionary martyrs, contributed and sacrificed to the victory of the revolution in his own way. They were the cornerstones of the victory of the revolution, and our descendants should always remember their exploits.
