On February 14, Beijing time, Girona officially announced that 8868, as a support partner of Girona Sports Club, renewed its contract with first-team goalkeeper Gazzaniga until June 2027. Girona FC is a football club based in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The club was founded in 1930. The team currently competes in the Spanish Primera Division.

The 32-year-old, whose contract expires in 2025, came through the Valencia Academy and played for Southampton, Rayo Vallecano, Tottenham, Elche and Fulham, before joining Girona on loan in September 2022 and joining on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 and has been there ever since.

There are a number of reasons why Girona are currently second in La Liga, not least of which is their excellent defence. Girona goalkeeper Gazzaniga has not conceded a goal for 260 consecutive minutes, just 35 minutes away from Girona's all-time record of 295 consecutive clean sheets, and in the second half of La Liga, Gazzaniga has conceded only one goal, the fewest goals conceded by a goalkeeper in La Liga in the same period.

Girona have been in excellent form this season, with 10 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss in their first 14 rounds, accumulating 35 points, second only to Real Madrid and second in La Liga. Their attacking firepower has been high with 32 goals, second only to Real Madrid and Barcelona, while they have been solid defensively, conceding just 14 goals, the third-fewest in La Liga. Their home ground is an impregnable fortress, with eight wins and one draw in nine games at home, without losing a single one.

Girona's success is not accidental, they have a well-developed tactical system, a squad full of passion and fighting spirit, and an experienced and intelligent manager.

Girona, a team to be reckoned with, a team full of passion and fighting spirit, a team full of hope and challenges, their story continues, their dreams go on, their miracles are still happening. Let's wait and see, let's cheer for them, let's bless them!
