China.com, February 18th Recently, the large amphibious aircraft "Kunlong" AG600M independently developed by China completed the last alpine flight test mission in Hailar, and its power plant system, fuel system, hydraulic system, flight control system, avionics system, landing gear system and other key systems have passed the alpine ground test and flight test verification, which can meet the needs of forest, fire protection, search and rescue and other fields within the whole territory of China.
It is reported that on January 22 and 30, after a long journey of nearly 6 hours and more than 2,200 kilometers, two "Kunlong" AG600M (1003 and 1005) were transferred to Dongshan Airport in Hailar, Inner Mongolia, to start the verification task related to the low temperature environment. This is also the longest distance and most complex transition mission performed by AG600M since its first flight.
The special flight test verification of Hailar Alpine lasted for about 2 weeks, and AG600M successively completed the functional performance test of each system of the whole aircraft under the conditions of minus 20 to minus 40, which verified the use and maintenance procedures of the aircraft such as low temperature, defrosting and snow removal, and laid a solid foundation for airworthiness certification and subsequent use and maintenance in low temperature environment.
It is understood that the development of AG600M fire-fighting aircraft has fully entered the critical stage of airworthiness compliance verification, and it is planned to obtain the type certificate in 2024. Since New Year's Day this year, the project development has been sprinting at the beginning of the year, and the airworthiness compliance test flight test task has been comprehensively accelerated throughout the country.
