At night, I watched the latest TV series "Ice Hunting" with my wife, in which Huang Zongwei played by Zhang Songwen is a drug lord, and I couldn't help but sigh when I saw the picture when he returned to his hometown. told his wife that his hometown village looks really comfortable, and if it is used to renovate it, it is definitely very suitable for the elderly. My wife accosted and said, then you make more money, and when we retire in the future, we will go to the countryside in Yunnan to have a yard life, and it is very pleasant to think about it. Yes, young people are starting to imagine retirement life, and a retirement vacation home is coming into everyone's field of vision. For those of us who have lived in the countryside since childhood, the urban retirement life does not seem to be so attractive, but the rural life, and the back-to-basics environment has become a yearning. For the retired elderly, buildings are often located in remote places with beautiful environments, and the cost of living control for retirement often occupies a very important part. In fact, these problems can be taken into account at the beginning of the design of the building, how to create a low-cost energy-efficient house? Today I would like to introduce you to such a house and see how it is realized?

The project is located in Barcelona, on the edge of the national park, in a beautiful natural environment, and is a good place to retire. The simple requirement was to be able to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings on the one hand, and to achieve low energy consumption on the other. Based on these requirements, the budget for the building is also limited, and the site has steep terrain, so the building does not worry too much about the location, but places it in the middle of the site based on the local urban planning rules. For the acquisition of the landscape, the building is set up with a landscape terrace.

For the energy-saving design of the building, the building is effectively controlled from the technical design of the space and the selection of materials, such as the building is designed to be spread out on the north-south axis, so that the building can obtain direct sunlight as much as possible, so that the building can obtain sufficient heat and reduce the dependence on air conditioning equipment. In summer, the ventilation formed in the north and south of the building allows the heat to be dissipated in time, thus reducing the heat of the interior space. This strategy of passive design continues throughout the life cycle of the building.

For the electricity consumption inside the house, photovoltaic panels are installed on the roof to meet the electricity demand inside the building. The recycling of rainwater and wastewater complements the energy-saving tonality of the building, fully allowing the building itself to achieve self-sufficiency, which greatly reduces the cost of living for the retired elderly.

The building is embedded in the slope of the site, allowing the building to better integrate with the surrounding environment, while the side facing the road and neighbors is not open to ensure the privacy of the internal space. The open sight line facing the south side of the landscape can bring the best view experience to the user. It is worth mentioning that there is also an outdoor swimming pool outside the building, which is different from our usual regular pools, but is surrounded by a series of stones, giving the appearance of a natural pool.
