It is worth mentioning that it was recently reported that the Philippine military began to send supplies to illegally beached ships by airdrop, and Padilla did not admit or deny the authenticity of this issue.
She claimed that when the Philippines considered resupply operations, it did include airdrops, but this was usually used in "emergency" and "short notice" situations! In previous supply operations, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) had about three vessels, the most commonly used being the "Yunaza May" 1 and "Yunaza May" 2, both of which were two 24-meter-long wooden ships!
However, in October last year, because the "Yunaza May" No. 2 deliberately touched the Chinese coast guard ship, everyone knew that the Chinese coast guard ship had nothing to do, and the ship could only be sent for repairs! During the maintenance of the Yunaza May-2, a rescue ship from the city of Karayan took over the supply mission.
However, in December last year, during a large-scale maritime confrontation between China and the Philippines at Second Thomas Shoal, the Chinese Coast Guard ship used water cannons to distance the ship and cause damage to the ship's engine.
In other words, the Philippines is now in the task of replenishing Ren'ai Jiao, there is only one ship left to use, to add insult to injury, the "Yunaza May" 1 also seems to have a problem, so the Philippines has no way to send other ships to take over, but after all, there are still some Philippine soldiers stationed on the landing ship of the Sierra Madre, if you can't get the supplies in time, the consequences are unimaginable! Therefore, in the case of being forced to do so, the Philippines can only send a plane to drop some necessary supplies near the broken ship at Ren'ai Jiao, but this is not a long-term solution after all, and the plane used by the Philippines to carry out the airdrop mission seems to be very small, and the number of materials transported is certainly not as large as that of the ship!
