As the Spring Festival approaches, the whole country ushers in the biggest migration tide of the year - the Spring Festival. At this moment when tradition and modernity are intertwined, new energy vehicles have become a beautiful scenery on the road. They not only carry the expectation of returning home, but also lead a revolution in green travel.
According to statistics, in just 11 days from the start of the Spring Festival on January 26 to February 5, the charging volume of new energy vehicles in the expressway service area surged, reaching a staggering 3408910,000 kWh, and the number of charges is as high as 151940,000 times. Compared to the same period in 2023, these figures represent an increase of 6706% and 4842%。This not only proves the increasing popularity of new energy vehicles, but also reflects people's preference for green and environmentally friendly travel methods.
With the large-scale use of new energy vehicles, an interesting phenomenon has also emerged - "charging tide". During the Spring Festival, the busyness index of the expressway reached its peak, and three to four percent of the charging stations were at full capacity. In normal times, this proportion is only about 10%. This "tidal" phenomenon, like the tides of the sea, is usually quiet and steady, but it is surging at its peak.
In order to meet this challenge, local power supply departments have taken action. In Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, the power supply department has upgraded a number of service areas and charging stations in the jurisdiction, and equipped them with mobile charging vehicles. In the Qinhu service area on the Yanjing Expressway, a 120kW mobile charging vehicle can provide uninterrupted charging services for four electric vehicles at the same time, so that new energy vehicle owners on the road do not need to worry about power problems.
In Tianjin, the power department has opened emergency charging pods in expressway service areas and upgraded 46 busy charging stations. These improvements not only improve charging efficiency, but also greatly reduce the average charging time, so that car owners no longer feel anxious while waiting for charging.
Behind all this, it is inseparable from the strong support of the first department. The Ministry of Transport, the National Energy Administration, the State Grid and China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. have jointly issued the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Charging Infrastructure along the Highway". The plan clearly requires strengthening the construction of charging infrastructure in highway service areas to ensure that during major holidays, service areas with large traffic can make emergency plans in advance to meet the charging needs during peak hours.
The rise of new energy vehicles has not only changed the way we travel, but also demonstrated a country's firm determination to environmental protection and sustainable development. On the occasion of this Spring Festival, let us praise green travel and cheer for the future of new energy vehicles!
