A few days ago, Finland held the "Happy New Year" to celebrate the Chinese New Year for the 18th consecutive year. The three cities of Helsinki, Vantaa and Tampere welcomed cultural delegations from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism to bring joy and warmth to the local winter.

On the afternoon of February 5th, Finland's "Hello, Beijing" cultural exchange event was grandly opened at Vantaa International Airport. Chinese and Finnish guests and "giant panda" puppets from Beijing jointly launched the event. The on-site Beijing inbound tourism promotion activities attracted many international passengers to stop and inquire. The "Hello, Beijing" photo exhibition and the exhibition of the winning works of the Global Zodiac Contest will be held until 25 February, adding a unique cultural landscape to the Nordic region's important air transport hub.

On the evening of February 5th, the Helsinki ** Hall was full, and the "Happy New Year" performance was staged here. The performances of the Beijing Shunyuanxiang Dragon Dance Team and the Finnish Dragon and Lion Dance Club were perfectly matched and won a full house; The Flame Troupe skillfully integrates classical dance and modern dance, and its skills are astonishing; The Chinese Music Women's Orchestra sang "Wanjiang", which pushed the atmosphere to a climax. The local Federation of Overseas Chinese and the Federation of Students also brought well-choreographed programs. Over the past 18 years, more than 100 art groups in Beijing have appeared on the stage of Helsinki at the "Happy New Year" event in Finland, making important contributions to sister-city exchanges and Sino-Finnish cooperation.

On February 7, the "Happy New Year" event landed in Tampere, Finland's second largest metropolis and the largest inland city in Northern Europe, for the first time. The lanterns and kites made the local people admire the subtlety of Beijing's intangible cultural heritage skills, and the cultural and creative gifts for the Year of the Dragon designed and produced by the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center were also snatched up. In the theater, the song "Missing Eji" brought by the nomadic group, as well as the performance of "Ten Thousand Horses Galloping" by Humai and Matouqin showed the charm of the Chinese grassland.

After the "Happy New Year" cultural group finished its activities in Finland, it went to Estonia non-stop to continue the 15-year-old Chinese "Happy New Year" celebration for the ancient city of Tallinn.
