The 2024 Australian Open tennis tournament has come to an end, and as one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, it has an important status and weight. This year's Australian Open is full of Chinese elements, and Chinese tennis has once again ushered in glory.

In women's singles, the 21-year-old Chinese girl Zheng Qinwen went all the way to the final, although she lost 0-2 to the defending champion, but this is also the second time that a Chinese player has entered the final after Li Na. At the age of 21, the future is promising. Looking back on this competition, Zheng Qinwen's performance is remarkable. She first defeated American rising star Kruger 2-1 and eliminated Briton Bolt in straight sets 2-0 in the second round. In the third round, the Chinese derby was staged, and in the end, Zheng Qinwen narrowly defeated compatriot Wang Yafan 2-1. In the fourth round, they defeated France's Dodan 2-0, in the quarter-finals against Russia's Karinskaya, and in the semi-finals, they beat Ukraine's Yastremska 2-0.

In doubles, Chinese Taipei's Hsieh Shu-wei shone brightly, winning back-to-back mixed doubles and women's doubles titles. Hsieh is a 38-year-old veteran who has won four Wimbledon women's doubles titles, two French Open women's doubles titles, and two year-end finals women's doubles titles. In the Grand Slam tournaments, the grass and clay have won the championship, but the hard court has not yet been achieved. At this year's Australian Open, veteran Xie Shuwei was full of ambition, first partnering with Poland's Zielinski to defeat the combination of Klotsk and Skupski to win the mixed doubles title. She then partnered with Belgium's Mertens to win the Women's Doubles title against Kicherok and Ostapenko.

On the men's side, the best Chinese player is Zhang Zhizhen, who is now 28 years old and in his prime. He reached the second round of the men's singles competition, but lost 1-3 to France's Amber and unfortunately exited. But in the doubles field, Zhang Zhizhen partnered with Czech player Mahach and reached the semifinals. Another Chinese player, Shang Juncheng, reached the third round of the men's singles, but unfortunately retired injured in the match.
