After the battle of Avadiivka, the ** people began to sweep the city.
Cleaning the city, how to clean it?
First of all, Avadiivka, as a fortress that has been defended by the Ukrainian army for a long time, still has a lot of defensive facilities left in it, and after the Russians occupy the city, they will repair and rebuild the city.
During this period, the Russian army not only had to collect and clean up the equipment, ammunition and materials left behind by the Ukrainian army, but also to clear threats such as mines and explosives.
Of course, while the ** people are cleaning the city, the rest of the people are either *** or caught.
What interests us most is how many people the Russians have captured, and in this battle, the so-called ** figures, most of which are estimated, and some of which are exaggerated. The only problem is that the number of captives is difficult to fake, and you can catch as many as you can.
Meanwhile, during Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's visit to the region, Moldvichev said that 200 Ukrainian soldiers have now been captured, and in the following days, another 100 Ukrainian soldiers have been captured.
From this point of view, in the last battle of the Battle of Avadiivka, the ** army captured two or three hundred prisoners of war at most.
For the war between Russia and Ukraine, two or three hundred people were arrested at once, what does this mean? Let's talk about it.
In the battle between Russia and Ukraine, the reason why we think that the combat effectiveness of the two ** teams is higher is because their soldiers have an indomitable spirit, and they can hold out until the end of the battle.
Even if they are captured, they are often cornered, preferring to die with the enemy, and many people choose to commit suicide.
Judging by the history of this battle, both sides had more than a million troops and losses on both sides were more than 100,000, but in the battle of Mariupol there was a large-scale, organized surrender.
Mariupol, with half a million inhabitants before the outbreak of the war, is the largest city in the Ukrainian-controlled Donbas region, which has gone through numerous wars and has changed owners several times during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Battle of Macheng was the first battle in which the enemy was completely annihilated since the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Only in large-scale battles is it more likely that a large number of prisoners will be captured.
At the beginning of April this year, Russia announced that 503 soldiers of the 267 ground forces of Ukraine in Mariupol had surrendered to the Russian army. It didn't take long for the 36 Land Infantry Brigade to lose control of the command, and the remaining 1026 men surrendered.
By April 21, the Ukrainian army was forced to the Azovstal plant, where a total of 1,478 Russians were captured, excluding the previous two battalions and the Ukrainian soldiers who had been captured by them.
A month later, the Battle of Mariupol ended, and 2,439 troops, mainly composed of the commanders of the Azov Corps, surrendered at the Azovstal steel plant.
Plus 1478+2439, that's 3917 people. Counting some of the small-scale battles that took place after April 21 and the few Ukrainian soldiers who were captured in the city, a total of more than 4,000 people were captured or surrendered.
You must know that this is the largest number of people captured by the two countries in a battle since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
In the ensuing fierce battles, most of these prisoners of war acted alone, at most a dozen people, and rarely were captured in an organized manner, or surrendered directly.
In the exchange of prisoners of war that often occurs on the Russian-Ukrainian border, the so-called dozens, or even hundreds, refer to the number of prisoners of war on various battlefields at a specific time.
But considering the more than four thousand people in Mariupol, and the large number of Ukrainian soldiers captured at the beginning of the fighting, the advantage of the Russians is even greater.
And in ordinary warfare, we can find some useful information from the data of the Wagner organization.
Wagner calculated that between March 2022 and May 2023, the group's involvement in the war in Ukraine was 72,095 deaths, 509 prisoners, and a 14:1 death toll.
In other words, every time the Wagner team fights, it has to take out a Ukrainian army in order to catch a single person.
Wagner's troops were treated badly when they were captured, which is why they didn't capture any prisoners of war during the battle.
But even so, it is not easy to catch those captured Russian soldiers.
In particular, the large-scale positional war between Russia and Ukraine mainly relies on artillery and drones for long-range strikes, and there are few hand-to-hand combat in the real sense, even if it is a prisoner, it is difficult to retreat, in fact, unless the scout deliberately captures it, or has won a few big battles, it is generally impossible to capture any prisoner of war alive.
Although the battle between Russia and Ukraine seems to be won, it is not the battle of Mariupol, but a crushing battle.
Because the encirclement was not completed and the pursuit was not continued, a large number of prisoners were not captured.
As far as the Ukrainian army is concerned, from early August 2023 to early February 2024 (including the height of the great counterattack), only 543 people were captured as hostages.
In this battle, the Ukrainians exchanged prisoners of war and prisoners of war for 3,135 prisoners of war, which is not as many as in the Battle of Moscow.
Looking back at Avadiivka, the Ukrainian army has a total of more than a dozen brigades in this area, but most of them are not in the city.
The fighting continued until the beginning of February, and there were only two battalions in the city, the 3rd Azov Brigade and the 3rd Azov Brigade, the first being the 1st Infantry Division of the coking plant, and the second being the 2nd 3rd Infantry Division.
* The people attacked the city, cutting off the connection between the coking plant and the city, because it was difficult for foreign aid to enter, and the 110th Infantry Brigade in the city finally could not support it after several months of hard fighting.
In fact, before Syrsky's order was given, the division had already begun to retreat to the west, and the retreat of the commander-in-chief of the Western Front was nothing more than a recognition, a respect for reality.
Because the retreat was disorderly, the 110th Division left in the night without having time to inform the troops in the city. On the way, it was heavily bombarded by Russian aerial bombs, causing serious damage.
The main force of the 3rd Azov Brigade was the coking plant, in front of which were heavily defended, and behind which there was also the 47 Infantry Division as a reserve. As a result, the girl ran away, allowing the ** people to easily occupy the whole of Avadiivka.
We have said before that whether the Ukrainians will evacuate in an organized way depends on whether they can hold out for a while in the coking plant and the upper areas, but the reality is that they are working in silos.
Will the Ukrainian army retreat? OK.
Although it was in the main city, it was not surrounded, not Mariupol, and the 53 Infantry Brigade outside the city had not yet been breached. And it is impossible to encircle the coking zone in three directions, and there are still two or three brigades of the Ukrainian army in it, so it is easier to escape.
But will they be able to escape? Can't do it.
Either they were killed on the road, killed in battle, or they couldn't escape, and in the end there were only more than three hundred prisoners.
Although there were only 300 prisoners of war, this was already the largest number of prisoners captured in the same place by both sides since the Battle of Mariupol.
Some people say that the Ukrainian army retreated intact, but those who were attacked by air strikes are not Ukrainians? The corpse of Avadiivka, how could it not be that of the Russian army? Those who were taken by the Russians were Ukrainians.
Yes, except for those who were killed, killed, and captured, the rest of the Ukrainian soldiers retreated unharmed, but will those *** or captured Ukrainian soldiers be expelled from the "Ukrainian nationality"?
They are really fighting for Ukraine, they are the real Russian army, how can they be kicked away by a group of Ukrainians, just for a moment?
This is not appropriate. In fact, the worst 110 infantry brigade is still very valuable. But as time went on, their losses continued to increase, and so did their supplies.
Even Ukraine's ** Zelensky has said that in the past two years, the number of ** Russian troops is 31,000 people, and anyone who exceeds this number will be included in the list of "Ukrainians", and it is unknown what people on the Internet will think.
But if the number of deaths is not much, in their ** proportion, victorious, are they still in a hurry to go to the conscription?
