1st place: Toyota Group.
Toyota Group will sell 11.23 million vehicles in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 7%, ranking first in the world and the only auto group with annual sales of more than 10 million.
Toyota Group has Toyota, Lexus, Daihatsu, etc., and best-selling models include Corolla, Camry, etc. Toyota has a stake in two joint ventures in China: FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota.
2nd place: Volkswagen Group.
The Volkswagen Group will sell 9.23 million vehicles in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 12%. The Volkswagen Group includes Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, Audi, as well as luxury car brands Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, etc. The best-selling models include Lavida and Passat, and there are joint ventures FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC-Volkswagen in China.
3rd place: Hyundai Group.

4th place: Stellantis Group.
Stellandis Group will sell 6.39 million vehicles in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 7%. The Stellantis Group has brands such as Peugeot Automobile, Citroen Automobile, Fiat Automobile, and Kleist Automobile, and its affiliated joint ventures in China are Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen.
5th place: General Motors.
General Motors will sell 6.18 million vehicles in 2023, up 4% year-on-year. General Motors has brands such as General Motors and Buick Motors, and its best-selling models include Chevrolet and Buick Excelle, and SAIC-GM, a joint venture company in China.
Sixth place: Ford Motor.

10th place: BYD.

Among the top 20 global car companies in 2023, Chinese car companies account for 5, and their strength is comparable to that of Japan, the United States, and Germany.
