Munich, Germany, February 16 (Xinhua) -- On February 16, local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and head of the Communist Party of China, met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Battszeg on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Wang Yi said that China and Mongolia are good neighbors and good partners linked by mountains and rivers. The President and Khurilsukh reached an important consensus on building a solid foundation for a community with a shared future between the two countries and building a high-quality Belt and Road Initiative, pointing out the direction for the further development of bilateral relations. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The two sides should take this opportunity to understand and support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, consolidate political mutual trust, and strengthen exchanges in various fields in accordance with the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. China appreciates Mongolia's priority in developing China-Mongolia relations, and stands ready to work with Mongolia to strengthen the synergy of development strategies, deepen the exchange of experience in governance, fully tap the potential of cooperation, and push the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level and achieve common development and prosperity.

Battszeg said that Mongolia cherishes Mongolian-Chinese friendship and is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote more achievements in bilateral relations.
