During the Spring Festival holiday, Chinese tourists have footprints in 125 countries around the world, with outbound destinations covering more than 1,700 cities around the world, and the "Belt and Road" countries Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey have increased significantly, while Melbourne, London, Istanbul, Dubai, Auckland, Cairo and other places have become popular cities for outbound travel during the Spring Festival.

With the effect of China's unilateral visa-free policy, the number of new visa-free tourists from countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, and Singapore has increased significantly, and the total number of Spring Festival inbound travel orders from these countries has doubled compared with the same period in 2019. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, there were about 3.23 million inbound tourists during the eight-day Spring Festival holiday. Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing, Harbin, Xi'an and other cities are the main destinations for inbound tourism.

The United Nations Tourism Organization (UNWTO) expects the recovery of China's inbound and outbound tourism to accelerate in 2024, driving the recovery of the global tourism market.
