Total length 3The 75-kilometer Taling Tunnel, which runs through the mountains, has a complex geographical environment. It is the longest of the 14 tunnels containing mechanical and electrical equipment under the jurisdiction of the Huangtatao Branch Center, and it is also a provincial boundary tunnel connecting Anhui and Jiangxi, and the large traffic flow is one of its significant characteristics.
Zheng Hongwei, 56 years old this year, has been engaged in tunnel mechanical and electrical maintenance for more than 17 years. Every day he goes out early and returns late, and he has to walk at least ** kilometers a day, and during the peak traffic flow on holidays, he will perform tasks in the tunnel for a longer time.
For him, it is a heavy responsibility to ensure the safety of driving every time he enters and exits the tunnel.
On February 1, the day Zheng Hongwei was on duty, the reporter entered the tunnel with him for a visit. He stopped in front of the firefighting equipment, and at that moment, the huge wave of air brought by a truck through the tunnel made him take a step back.
There are dozens of fire hydrant boxes in the Taling Tunnel, which are distributed on the walls on both sides of the tunnel, and one of his jobs is to inspect and maintain the fire fighting facilities.
The interface of the fire hydrant and the fire hose should be seen to see if there is rust or leakage, and now that the weather is cold, it is necessary to prevent it from freezing. Zheng Hongwei said that whether the fire-fighting facilities can be used is directly related to the response speed of emergency disposal, "once there is a vehicle failure in the tunnel, the fire-fighting equipment can play a timely role in extinguishing the fire, otherwise the tunnel space is closed and narrow, which can easily cause serious consequences." ”
In addition to inspecting fire-fighting facilities, Zheng Hongwei also has to carry out the maintenance of power distribution systems, communication systems, and lighting systems, "This tunnel is relatively long, if the distribution box fails, the lights are not on, it is very dangerous, and we have to provide all-round 24-hour protection." ”
After the inspection of all the equipment in the tunnel is completed, Zheng Hongwei will also "go up the mountain" to check the high-level pool located at the top of the mountain where the tunnel is located.

The maintenance of fire-fighting equipment in the tunnel is only one of them, and we have to climb to the mountain to see if the water supply equipment is perfect and whether there is water, otherwise there will be no water in the event of a failure, and it will be 'blind' at that time. Zheng Hongwei introduced, in the past, they used to take the hillside road to climb up, the altitude is more than 100 meters high, and it generally takes a lot of time to reach the destination, "Now we have built a cement ladder, it is more convenient to go up!" ”
At the end of the day, Zheng Hongwei's team can overhaul about two or three tunnels, and all the tunnels can be overhauled for a week.
In fact, Zheng Hongwei is just the epitome of Anhui high-speed people sticking to their posts, walking through the mountainside tunnel, trekking through mountains and rivers, and measuring the safety of the high-speed with their footsteps.
It is the rush hour of the Spring Festival, and the vehicles passing by here are speeding by, and it may be difficult for people sitting in the car to notice, but there is a figure in the tunnel guarding the safe passage of everyone.
