Xinmin Evening News (Reporter Chen Hao) At 7:51 a.m. on January 9, a traffic accident occurred at the gate of No. 4200 Longwu Road, Minhang District: a truck rushed onto the non-isolated green belt in order to avoid the SUV that braked sharply in front. The accident may be caused by driving a "vindictive car".
The dashcam screen of netizens shows that at that time, an SUV and a truck were driving in the same direction along the No. 2 lane from south to north on Longwu Road, and when they arrived at the door of a unit at No. 4250 Longwu Road, the truck in front of the SUV changed lanes to the left lane 1 in order to avoid the vehicle that turned right into the unit, and at the same time, the SUV also changed lanes to the left lane, and when the two cars changed lanes, the distance between the vehicles was relatively close.
Unexpectedly, when there was space in lane 2, the SUV driver changed lanes to the right and accelerated to overtake. After overtaking the truck in front, the SUV suddenly changed lanes to the left and moved in front of the truck, and the brakes were slammed sharply, causing the vehicle to stop. In order to avoid a rear-end collision, the driver of the rear truck also took emergency braking and turned to the right, causing the vehicle to lose control and rush into the non-isolation zone at the entrance of a gas station at No. 4200 Longwu Road, and hit the street light pole. Fortunately, no other vehicles or non-motorized vehicles passed by.
After the accident, the driver of the truck called the police. After the traffic police arrived at the scene, the accident was handled. The accident is suspected to have been caused by the SUV driver's dissatisfaction with the truck's lane change during the first lane change, and then overtaking, changing lanes, and braking suddenly, while the rear truck driver improperly braked.
At present, the investigation of the cause of the accident and the determination of responsibility are still in progress.
