Things bankers should reflect on

The banking industry has always given people the impression of mystery and rigor.

Bank employees have to go through layers of assessment and screening, wear neat and straight suits, and deal with countless capital flows and complex business every day.

However, with the rapid development of the banking industry in recent years, the image and behavior of bank employees are also quietly changing. As bankers, it is necessary for us to conduct self-reflection and review those inappropriate behaviors in order to better serve our customers and fulfill our social responsibilities as banks.

First, we should reflect on the unhealthy practices within the banking industry. In the process of the development of the banking industry, there have also been some improper behaviors. For the sake of performance, some bank employees mislead customers to buy some unsuitable wealth management products. In order to obtain commissions, some customers shoehorn in some services that customers don't need. Others use inside information for their own personal gain. These actions not only harm the interests of customers, but also tarnish the image of the bank's integrity. As bankers, we must be vigilant, resolutely resist such illegal operations, and maintain the professionalism of banks.

Second, we should reflect on the perfunctory work attitude of some bank employees. With the expansion of the customer base, there is a significant staffing shortage in many bank branches. Employees are often busy and prone to perfunctory attitudes towards customers. But we must realize that passion and responsibility are the keys for banks to win customers. Even if the pressure is high, it is not possible to use ordinary customers as a punching bag to release pressure. We should put ourselves in the shoes of our customers and serve every customer sincerely.

Third, we should reflect on the adverse impact of the life style of some employees. Some bank employees have a negative tendency to live in a higher income style. Some people flaunt their wealth and only socialize with other rich people, and some people pursue material comforts excessively. This not only has a negative impact on individuals and families, but also hurts the bank's social image. We need to be aware that good conduct is a basic requirement for bank employees. They should maintain a simple and frugal way of life and be strict with their own ideology and morality.

Fourth, we should reflect on the deviation in the concept of customer service. Some banks have skewed their customer service philosophy as they expand. Focus on performance over service, sales over financial planning. When serving the majority of small and medium-sized customers, there is also the mentality of turning over the hands for the clouds and covering the hands for the rain.

In fact, integrity and customer interests are the foundation of a bank's survival. We must bear in mind that the most fundamental responsibility of banks is to protect the safety of depositors' assets and provide professional financial advice to customers. We should not only look at the size of the client's wealth, but treat every client equally.

In order for the banking industry to develop healthily in the long run, it is necessary to fundamentally solve these problems.

As a member of the industry, our bank staff should lead by example, practice professional ethics, improve professional quality, and establish a good image of the industry. Only by strengthening the quality inside and building the image externally, can the banking industry gain a firm foothold in the market and establish credibility in the society.

Every banker should serve every customer with full enthusiasm, sincere attitude and lively spirit. With practical actions, we will explain what is truly "customer-centric", so that the banking industry can play its due financial service function and benefit the society.
