A cotton chain creates an industrial cluster

In recent years, Aksu Prefecture has focused on the construction of "eight major industrial clusters", anchored the goal of building a strong agricultural area, and strived to build a whole cotton industry chain integrating planting, production and deep processing, so as to accelerate the release of cotton industry benefits and promote high-quality economic development.

Improve quality and efficiency

Cotton production has shifted from quantity to quality

Last year, the cotton yield in Aksu reached 15376 kg (lint), an increase of 12 year-on-year6 kg, with a total output of 114690,000 tons, an increase of 7 year-on-year330,000 tons. Behind the gratifying data is the region's goal of improving quality, saving costs and increasing efficiency, and improving the comprehensive benefits of the cotton industry.

Expanding the cotton planting area alone cannot achieve agricultural efficiency and farmers' income, and we must take the road of high-quality development to improve quality and efficiency. Hua Weijie, executive deputy director of the Agricultural Office of the Prefectural Party Committee and deputy director of the Regional Agriculture and Rural Bureau, said that in accordance with the idea of "controlling the area, optimizing varieties, promoting machine mining, and improving quality and efficiency", the region has reduced the cotton planting area year by year, and promoted high-quality seeds through the construction of high-standard cotton field demonstration areas, and guided cotton planting to concentrate on the development of advantageous production areas and continuously improve cotton quality.

Chen Jingzhong, a cotton farmer in Koshkerik Village, Ayibagh Town, Awati County, has been planting cotton for more than 20 years, and last year, his family's 200 acres of cotton fields were all included in the high-standard cotton field demonstration area, and the high-quality cotton seeds coupled with scientific field management have a cotton yield of more than 500 kilograms (seed cotton), which makes him full of confidence in increasing production and harvest.

High-standard cotton fields are smoother, mechanized operations and the use of water-saving facilities greatly reduce planting costs. Chen Jingzhong said that this year, he will continue to expand the scale of planting and increase income.

Science and technology empower agriculture

The whole process from planting to harvesting is mechanized

In the past few days, Islapili Abduli, a villager from Cangtamu Village, Tarim Township, Shaya County, is busy repairing and maintaining his cotton seeder, he said: "Since I bought a cotton seeder, I don't have to worry about sowing cotton in my own house, and I can go to other places to sow seeds to make money, and my life is prosperous." ”

In recent years, in promoting the development of the cotton industry, the region has vigorously popularized agricultural mechanization, realized the mechanized operation of cotton sowing, field management and harvesting, and promoted a substantial increase in cotton output while reducing labor costs.

In order to vigorously promote mechanized harvesting, the region has continuously increased subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery, encouraged enterprises, cooperatives, family farms, and large cotton planters to increase capital investment, updated and transformed agricultural machinery, and effectively solved the bottleneck of insufficient mechanical development power in the development of cotton industry. Hua Weijie said that agricultural modernization is inseparable from mechanization, and it is imperative for Aksu, a large cotton planting region, to make cotton seed management and harvesting more modern.

Last year, we paid 38.9 billion yuan, making the total amount of agricultural machinery in the region rank first in Xinjiang, the cotton machinery sowing rate of 100%, and the machine yield rate of more than 95%. Hua Weijie said.

From cotton to cloth

Build the whole industrial chain of the cotton industry

On January 19, the mechanized textile equipment in the Xinjiang Shunxin Textile Workshop located in the Cotton Spinning Manufacturing Industrial Park of Awati County was running at a high speed, and the workers performed their duties to step up production.

The company is one of the key investment projects in Awati County, and the grey fabrics produced are exported to Zhejiang, Guangzhou, Jiangsu and other places.

Hu Jiakai, general manager of Xinjiang Shunxin Textile, said: "After the company was put into operation, it effectively extended the local cotton industry chain, and cumulatively drove more than 100 local laborers to stabilize employment, with a per capita monthly income of about 5,000 yuan. ”

As a large cotton planting county, Awati County has introduced 24 textile and garment enterprises to settle in the local area based on the superior resources of cotton, and coordinated the development of the whole industrial chain such as spinning, clothing and weaving.

At present, the Aksu region has formed a gratifying situation of county and county cotton manufacturing industrial parks. Only 333 textile enterprises have been settled and put into operation in Aksu Textile Industrial City (Development Zone), with a spinning capacity of 3.23 million spindles and an annual output value of 18.1 billion yuan.

Liu Xiaofeng, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of Aksu Textile Industry City (Development Zone), said that Aksu will continue to rely on high-quality cotton resources, extend and strengthen the cotton industry chain by strengthening the chain, extending and strengthening the cotton industry chain, and creating a complete industrial chain from cotton to yarn to a piece of cloth and a piece of clothing, forming a development pattern of textile and garment industry with strong competitiveness and radiation drive.
