With infinite compassion at its core, Amitabha Buddha exists so that sentient beings can be liberated from suffering and enjoy bliss after death.
Western Elysium, the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha, is a place full of happiness and harmony, free from pain and malice. Buddhists seek the refuge of Amitabha Buddha through practice methods such as chanting Buddha and chanting sutras, accumulating good karma in the hope of being reborn here.
Buddha Nyolai is an honorific title for the Buddha who has attained a state of full enlightenment, the founder and teacher of Buddhism, who uses profound wisdom and boundless compassion to guide sentient beings out of the sea of suffering and out of the cycle of birth and death. The Buddha's teachings cover fundamental principles such as the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, and the Law of Cause and Effect.
The term Nyolai was originally used to refer specifically to the Buddha himself, although Buddhism believes that there are multiple Buddhas who have attained this state. Therefore,"Buddha as it comes"Refers specifically to the Buddha himself, not to other Buddhas.
The deep connection between Amitabha Buddha and Nyorai Buddha lies in the fact that Amitabha Buddha himself is a manifestation of the Buddha's enlightened form. Although in the Buddhist tradition, Amitabha Buddha is seen as an independent Buddha being, through the practice of compassion and wisdom, he aims to lead all living beings to eternal peace and happiness free from suffering.
In the Buddhist tradition, the Sutra of Amitayus depicts the journey of Amitabha Buddha, who attained the Buddhahood through his immeasurable cultivation and made a vow to create the Western Elysium to connect sentient beings who have never forgotten his name and free them from the suffering of samsara. Amitabha's powerful aspirations stem from his boundless compassion and wisdom, which makes him a source for the liberation of sentient beings.
In this respect, Amitabha Buddha is not a separate existence from the Buddha of Buddhism. Buddhism sees the Buddha as the embodiment of perfect wisdom and compassion, and Amitabha Buddha is the embodiment of this ideal, guiding sentient beings to the path to liberation through immeasurable compassion.
Thus, although Amitabha and Nyorai Buddha play different roles in Buddhism, the former as the founder of the Western Elysium and the savior of all beings, and the latter as the exalted teacher of attaining full enlightenment, they together constitute the Buddhist teachings of compassion, wisdom, and the ideal of salvation. Although these two concepts differ in their expressions, their core revolves around the purpose of guiding sentient beings to liberation.
